"I'm afraid you didn't get 15pts" - EADD Benefits Thread

You'll be asked to provide a confirmation from a ordained pastor. Or whatever religious equivalent there is.

Probably sign you off as you'd be in breach of your contract which says your fit and able to look for work.

Need some advice:

I live in england, i am due to sign on today, but i haven't been doing anything nor filled out my book or anything.

Ive not been diagnosed with anything other than Chronic Bacterial Prostatitits, but this seems like a wrong diagnosis now, and i am showing many symptoms of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interstitial_cystitis

The reason why i haven't is because i am suffering from a pelvic pain, as well as other problems (painful urination, cant urinate, weight fluctuating as much as 7 pounds in just 2 days, goes down a lot when i finally pee, feeling very lethargic/sick) Having trouble leaving the house as lots of walking seems to make the pain more intense and it feels like im walking around with lots of retained fluid

Im on Ciprofloxacin , and been given co-codamol 30/500mg for the pain , but ive not been signed off by my GP (Just registered somewhere new)

Can i please have some advice on what to do or say ? I need to be signed off on the sick really, this is an ongoing problem that is progressively getting worse and worse and worse, and i am due to visit urology for consultation and for an ultrasound soon.
Also what do i do if my Gp wont declare me unfit for work? my symptoms go from feeling okayish to then feeling like im quite literally dying lol

Lastly,

I haven't 'got on it' since May, nor have i hit a rave since March

If you've got time to make such a long winded post, you've plenty of time to make up 5 or 6 fake jobs you've applied for!

^ Sure, but its the travelling to my jobcenter.

Whatever is wrong with me its getting progressively worse each week, signing on for me wasnt a problem 2 weeks ago but a hospital visit later, and it is trust me. Ive told me friends they wont be seeing me atm either because too much walking seems to cause more discomfort/pain

It isn't necessarily any of those things you have been 'diagnosed' with. To me that sounds like some sort of infection (like they said), have you had an x-ray? When I went septic I couldn't piss for shit. It just backed up, and when they did an ultra sound they said there was no piss there, then 20 minutes later I managed to piss almost a litre in one go. Then it built up again and I felt terrible again. Round and round and round. If it is getting too bad admit yourself to A+E and jump the queue. I imagine that a lot of your symptoms should be getting better if you're on cipro if you have what they're saying you have?

The GP should just declare you unfit for work, at least in the short term. If you go to A+E they'll give you a sick note as you leave the hospital.

This sounds really serious sam, get down to A+E. Don't let them fuck you about waiting for a proper appointment. They will be able to do an ultrasound today. If you get down there before the afternoon rush it will be a lot quicker.

Have you had a bloodtest or given a sample lately love? Is it your bladder or kidneys. It sounds really rough.

My mum just received her statement of reason, as an explanation to why she lost her ATOS interview. It gets more and more absurd. She has been told that her GP and specialist diagnosed sciatica, is psychological. Ridiculous.

She's away to see a welfare solicitor, and prepare her appeal.

I wouldn't waste time phoning them.

Even if you get through, any information they give you is likely to be wrong.

Have you claimed ESA within the last 6 months?

Damn fucking right - You get put on hold to a number that will charge you unless it's a BT phoneline (which many people don't have and have to resort to a pay-as-you-go mobile like I did). I wasted over a tenner in credit on hold!
I've sent them the "unfit to work" note from my doc, and I want to call them to see if they've recieved it and it's in their databank.
BUT last time I called, I eventually spoke to a human on the switchboard, got transfered to my local JSP who said they didn't deal with the medical side of things and to ring a number they gave me....
What did I hear?

"Welcome to Knobcentre Plus..." - The same fucking switchboard! :X

The left hand doesn't know what the right hand, left foot or right foot are doing... Tis a totally flawed system that they're making up as they go along :\

If you're on pay as you go, get a Virgin mobile sim card. They don't charge you for calls made to the job centres 0845 numbers.

Going to call job centre now and try and get them to send shit to the tax office they need to process my tax rebate.

EDIT:
Done! They're sending me more forms, which will no doubt end up sitting on the floor for another 3 months before I do anything with them.

Arrrrgh Noodle. Bunch of wankers ay? A friend of mine was calling some Gov agency the other day at my house for about half hour. Half hour of the 4 seasons. 8( interrupted at minute intervals with 'You are being held in a queue etc etc..' She had spent the morning enduring the Four Seasoning torture and then when she finally got through they asked for some really random information that she would need to call several agencies to get. She marched up to the job center in the end ( I think it was for a crisis loan) baying for blood.

How about doing a page a night Spade?

The Vivaldi fucking 4 Seasons!!!!!!
They could atleast switch it up with some Bach, Debussy or - wishful thinking - Steve Reich to save my musical soul????
I expected nothing less though to be honest.

Really sorry to hear about yer mate's debacles Yellow.
I think I'm gunna have to go into "my local" (if only they served pints of lush ale :|) if I don't get a letter by Monday / Tuesday and ask what the fuck is going on.
To which they will likely say "I'm sorry but we have no connections to other areas of the benefit system despite being connected irrevocably to the benefit system"

Sorry - Moaning again.

Spade - It's almost like doing essays at school: You would be best doing a "draft" first, hand it to someone who's good with form-filling and then tidy it up with their advice.
I've been greatfully told to keep it short, sharp and to the point instead of letting your anger dictate what you write (I did that at first then was saved by the lovely, wonderful belle).

Good luck man, and to everyone <3
