^yeah, I tried to chew food on my right gum but man it hurts :( :( just gotta toughen it out and wait til the 19th.

same! I am trying my best to eat as healthy as possible and workout as much as possible, I just feel gross not being able to workout for 3 days, 3 days is my max. and then less on sugar and junk food. It pays off, I have more energy, focus and I sleep like a baby.

I am alright just getting the seasonal allergy/cold and hoping to get better. I am not going to workout today since I want my body to get some rest and just sleep as soon as I get home from work.

Doing really good captain, yourself?

Weather's been generally good for a few weeks now, almost done studying, in the process of reconnecting with some old friends so yeah can't complain!

I have exams in 10 days. I haven't studied yet and I'm really behind schedule. I'll hopefully have the motivation to study, even 30 minutes will help. Sucks

^What courses are they? I never liked math so I made sure to study like a month before exams. There were times when one month isn't even enough for me, it's just not my cup of tea. That or it hates me.

Math, physics, chemistry, biology, french, english, arabic, economics and sociology. I love science but math has been my main problem lately. I try not to worry though because I know I can pass...

How are you doing at school?

^Great! I am almost done with it. It's just a short program so I am hoping to finish before the end of this year. The other two courses can be taken online but I am giving myself a break so I will just take these courses by fall.

I had been napping before I study whenever I get home. This helps me to concentrate more and absorb/remember important info before the next class or next test. I have another finals on Saturday and then a class as well but I think I am good to go.

I was okay with Geometry and Algebra when I was in high school. I think my final mark in Algebra was 88. Geometry was 85 iirc. Chemistry 77 lol or was it Physics =D

What i have found in studying is that short 'bursts'm including naps/ taking time off while going at it work better than just grinding through hours of learning, seems like you agree?

I already eat very little processed sugar but I've decided to avoid processed sugar completely (as much as possible) in the next couple of weeks. Just to see if that helps more with energy and whatnot. I avoid unhealthy things in general but I want to make more of a conscious effort to avoid things specifically with sugar since the one time I had ice cream a few weeks ago, I just had a huge sugar crash after, so I wondered if small doses of sugar was similar. Hmmmm :)

my diet now is completely "sugar-free". It's difficult because everything contains sugar, and also because the body needs glucose to even function. I wanted to buy cereal the other day, spent maybe 20 minutes looking at every box on the shelf and the only box in the entire store aisle that did not contain added sugar was regular oatmeal.

added (processed) sugar is no less healthy than fruit sugar. the reason for that myth is fruit contains fibre, which slows the release of glucose into the blood stream, while sweet foods like cake have no such filter. the actual difference is sucrose (table sugar) is a dissacharadie not a monosaccharide like glucose or fructose (fruit sugar), but sucrose gets broken down into glucose and fructose so you literally get the same thing regardless of whether your sugar intake comes from added sugar, or fruit sugar, or just from sweet vegetables, such as corn (hence high-fructose corn syrup).

for that matter, since all carbohydrates get broken down into glucose, you can just lump table sugar into the same category as fruit sugar, ethanol, cake, white bread, etc. Complex carbs are considered healthier since they take a longer metabolic pathway and slow the release of glucose into the bloodstream (high blood-sugar -> diabetes, low blood-sugar -> passing out) but how "healthy" something is can be categorized by its glycemic index. A general rule is to look at net carbs, which can be obtained by subtracting total fibre content from total carb content. The lower the number is, the more of that food you can eat without causing much of a blood-sugar spike.

Wow, I'll be honest, a lot of that just went completely over my head.

I eat fruits and veggies quite a bit, they are a staple in my diet. I want to cut out all the processed sugar but still keep sugar from fruits, etc. The amount of sugar that you would get from eating something unhealthy is likely significantly more than you'd get from eating, say, a fruit. So eating an apple would not result in nearly the same sugar crash as eating a chocolate bar. Honestly, that's mostly what I'm looking at.

I know things like cereal have tons of sugar in them lol it's crazy how much have sugar, especially how many have "sugar added". I eat oatmeal too :)
I don't think I could go completely sugar free because I really don't know what I'd eat besides fruit. If I cut fruit out of my diet, I would have to make some serious changes, that would be kind of crazy :P (for me)

oh yeah! I def agree haha! I actually did great in my test today =D

I have to admit guys I have been addicted to Nutella so whenever I eat banana with oatmeal I put nutella on my banana LOL

^thanks :D since there's teachers strike I don't think I will know the results until after a month or so kinda sucks tbh.

What did you guys do today? Took a break from my crazy workouts and spent time with my family. I felt like I needed to rest today so I napped when I got home from school.

How is everyone doing with their workouts? Am I the only crazy one here?

So i went to the gym today and then went to hot yoga after. What did you guys do today?

Going for a run tonight, 8k methinks. Should be doing more sports but 'life' is getting in the way :) I'm gonna try and pick up the pace from this week onwards though
