i also try to use them responibly. i have a large stash of vic 7.5/750s that i get on the black market from a friendly dude. i try to only use them once a week but my tolerance is slowly increasing.

You can find brown but not green?

WTF kind of country is this? We fight a war on drugs only to make the harder ones more popular?

Fuck america.

marijuana is FAR more popular than heroin in the united states. it's not even close. the war on drugs is not making heroin more popular than marijuana. if anything, i'd wager that if you legalized both, heroin would see a larger percent increase in usage.

If you truly want to know statistically how often people who try opiates become addicted, bluelight is not the place to find representative data.

this should go without saying but it's probably always worth a mention. to do this right, you need to have a random sample.

Nausea as a deterrent for some?

Opiates I've tried,
Codeine and tramadol.

Opiate like substances I've tried,
Kratom.

All made me extremely physically comfortable, except for the nausea, which was an intrusive interruption.
Mentally, they made me 'not arsed right now' about stuff which would bother me, similar, psychologically to valium.
Yes, with all, there was a great fuzzy feeling, not unlike an E, bodily speaking.
I could be social, but just that, ok with people, no output as such.

Out of all, Kratom would be my favourite opiate. *edited to add-although this is not an opiate as such.
I have a little kratom, I was going to bosh it, so I decided to postpone my breakfast, (kratom liking an empty stomach) had some tums & clairtyn(potentiators of kratom) and set about preparing the krat while the potentiators worked.
The thought of a nice fuzzy chilled kratted afternoon, however, marred by an intrusive churning stomach, has just put me off.
Ginger killed psychedelic nausea, but dosen't seem to help kratom nausea for me.

Instead, I ate my breakfast, and downed the last DF118 (dihydrocodeine) as an experiment to see if the clairtyn, and tums potentiate codeine, like they do kratom.
There will be no nausea, as DF118's like a full stomach, so the pill is sitting nicely ontop of my breakfast as we speak.

My doc only prscribes codeine for pain, *on the very odd occasion an old back injurty of mine flares up, so this stuff has never been a regular thing for me.
OK they can be picked up in other ways, but I have always felt this way of procuring drugs was too much hassle and potential for shit to go on.
As for kratom, the nausea seems to keep me away from it, except for the odd occasion.
Maybe those with strong stomachs, who can withstand nausea, or who are not affected by it, are more at risk of addiction, as they have not got that deterrant?
Just a thought

Man I love when someone writes that they are clean because they are on sub or methadone. Both are impossible to get on here where I live. The only doctors around for it are members of the "elite"....meaning they are super expensive. Yes I tried opiates and got hooked. Sad but true.

started with prescreption opioids like codein, dihydrocodeine, morphine
and tilidine. got stuck on tilidine for 3 years. i used maybe 2-3+ litres of
that stuff alltogether (its in liquid form).
tolerance got up, with no real euphoria. switched to good ole h
and used that for another 2 years.
now on (levo-)methadone till feb/march 09 then rehab.....

Yes. I had started out with going around 40MGs a day and then months later was up to 560MGs. I am tampering down to only 160MG's a day now and planning to try suboxone again. My opiate of choice was ocs and it really sucks being in this place now where I have to worry about how am I going to get my next set of 80s to not be sick for the next couple days. I am currently trying to find another DR to goto for suboxone. I love opiates and I always will. I love the high I love how they make you feel and I love the drip in the back of your throat after snorting some. I never IV'd before I have friends who have tried and missed a vein or whatever and said it hurt like a bitch. But my addiction is bad enough where I wouldn't want to goto IV. For me becoming addicted it was just everyday wanting to get high and higher. Then before you knew it I had my first set of withdrawals and I knew I was in for it. Then I should of quit but I kept doing it and doing it. Personally, I think its not fun having a little pill control your step of your life.

I had experimented with Vics, Percs, and the painkillers throughout the years...never got hooked. Then when I tried heroin over a year ago I LOVED LOVED LOVED it and promised myself I wouldnt do it again for a long long time. When it came back around, I did it again....and never stopped. Until September, when my addiction became so bad I lost my apartment and lots of "friends". Then I was forced to move back home with the folks and try to kick in the basement there on the world's most uncomfortable pull out bed. Nearly died tryin to detox off of a $300-$400 a day habit, so I was rushed to the E.R. by ambulance and upon arrival was given Ativan through IV and a Fent patch on my neck. I was almost 3 weeks sober when I relapsed and was on dope again for a good 2 or 3 months, now I'm 4 days clean again with the help of Suboxone!

Words of wisdom- TRY HEROIN ONCE AND PUT IT DOWN!!! YOU WILL GET ADDICTED!!! And once you have a habit your entire life revolves around getting money to get it and getting it. Believe me, I know.

Done MANY opiates, MANY different times and haven't gotten addicted.

I've gone on methadone binges that lasted 3 months and, though I had some nasty withdrawals, I could still stop without an issue.

My ex was really big into pharms and was always hunting them down....I railed so many percs/vics/done's/morphine/etc....still, even after several days/weeks of use, I've never felt I NEEDED more...once they were gone, that was it, they're gone.

Works the same with blow for me....once it's gone, I'm good and done. Haven't tried heroin yet, but have been very interested ever since I had a dream a couple weeks ago where I smoked some....

I have tried Vicodin a few times and they made feel awesome! I have also tried snorting heroin about 5 times but did'nt like the vomiting and the itching so I quit useing it.

It's very hard to do opiates regularly and not get addicted. I'm sure a lot of those people who answered that they aren't addicted actually are addicts. I'm not saying it's impossible to avoid becoming an addict. It's also possible to play real life Frogger and run across a major road, but it's not that bright.

i chose done it more than 5 times and not gotten addicted but i have only done oxycontin and have no access to it untill a friend gets them each month from the doc , so honestly if i had easy access to them i could see how easy for me it would be to get hooked on them

You should devote your brain to science, people like you could help other addict prone people.

Do you happen to also be generally very happy and motivated?

Used codeine, Tramadol and heroin and managed to not get addicted, hope it will remain this way.

I do heroin (IV) roughly about 3 - 4 times in a year.

I believe the reason for me being nothing more than a chipper is that i was already a full blown tweaker for a decade before i decide to try smack.

The question is a bit tendentious. I haven't tried. I know what I was doing. It wasn't trying, it was a conscious decision when I made a mistake and decided to run away from my problems with opiates.

went from 2 lortabs once in awhile when I was 19 to 300 bucks a day on H by the time I was 24 stopped with suboxone. Been "clean" 3 years now......still fuck with EVERYTHING but H. Lucky me.

You don't for too long. I had an 800$ a day habit for like a month once. So stupid. Ocs are expensive, i was doing like 25 80s a day :(
