I've done heroin more than 5 times and was addicted. I still kindof am even though I haven't done it in 2 months. I was lucky enough to not really get physically addicted, I only had mild withdrawal one time over about 10 months of use. I know I was addicted though because of the money spent on it, continued using after bad consequences. If I didn't have a kickass/busy work/family life then I would for sure have become another junkie.

I was taking Vicodin that wasn't prescribed for awhile, but never enough for anything to develop. I stopped taking it and I was fine, went on with my life

I also used to do poppy pod tea occasionally, but never got addicted

My opioid use is now medical in nature

First time I tried vicoden recreationally it didn't do shit. BUt one day, when I was 26, actually it was the democratic national convention of 2004, I took like 5 vicoden and listened to the Reverend Al Sharpton give the most amazing speech I've ever heard. I just lay on the couch, the TV volume up loud, floating amongst the clouds, with a towel over my face, listened to Al Sharpton speaks sweet words of power and beauty into my ears. I realized this drug had some serious advantages.

Now, 4 years later, I go through 180 10/325 percs in a week. I take whatever opiates I can find and when I run out of all other resources- I take subutex, 8mg. which keeps me from havind WD's, but I don't get high off of anymore. I actually only got high from subutex once. Kinda sucks.

Ive been using opiates for seven years and counting . Keep um coming buddy <3 We kind of have a love and hate relationship . Its hard to explain , I wont get into details . Theres some amazing heroin going around . It been really fun =D

i have tried opiates more than five times and not gotten addicted. mainly hydrocodone. the reason i didn't get addicted was the unpleasant side effects, which did not go away with daily use of norco. actually, when i was taking norco every day the side effects seem to get worse and the pleasurable effects less and i haven't abused opiates since. i experimented with 15 mg of hydrocodone about a year and a half ago and was sick to my stomach for a week from that single dose. these days i am terrified to take any opiate because of how sick i have gotten from them.

hmmm started with oc, then tried all the ones i could including codeine, morphine, and hydromorphone. then i tried iv'ing oc a few times and i really liked that. finally came heroin (like a month ago) and i had to iv that. i've done it another time since then and i can say i'm content with oc for the moment (been almost 2 years since first use, nasal MOA, 1-2 times a week). H was stronger than oc, but a 60mg shot of oc was comparable to the couple of H shots i had. and i never felt withdrawal past the point of being pale.

Used just about everything, morphine, heroin, oxy, hydro, kratom, opium, etc. My favorite buzz behind cannabis. Never got addicted to opiates and I never will, just not worth ruining something so nice when you can use it responsibly instead. Cannabis on the other hand, hooked for life.

This, except I prefer cannabis and have tried fewer/different opioids. I've used them dozens of times, though they're few and far between for me, which is a Good Thing.

I have used opiates between 5-10 times, do not have any immediate plan for stopping, and I am not addicted. It helps that they are exorbitantly priced in my area and I'm not a rich dude.

I have tried Opiates. Mainly hydrocodone and oxycodone when I could get my hands on a script. I just could never see paying for them when I could bullshit a doctor into giving me a script which my insurance would pay for. As for being addicted to them, that's kind of a tough question. How would you define addiction? I define it differently than some people. Addiction to me is when you know your hurting your body, you know you are putting the substance above everything else, and you know you should stop but can not find it in yourself to stop. Experiencing withdrawals IMO is not a sign of addiction but rather a sign that you took the drug for too long of a time. Drink a few Red Bulls every day for a week then stop and you get a headache. Caffeine withdrawals. Does not mean you were addicted to Red Bull.
Back to Opiates. To me, if I could have Percocet everyday for the rest of my life and never develop a tolerance I would be a much happier person. Not because I am addicted to Opiates but because I enjoy the euphoria that they provide.
Unfortunately the doctors and even the E.R. in my area are becoming more and more strict on what they prescribe. I was once prescribed 30 Vicodin for pain from a cold sore on my lip! I was in the E.R. last week after being in a car accident and was given ten Ultram. Which I like, and is a synthetic opiate but still has the opiate effects.
Sorry for getting a bit off subject here but opiates to me should be prescribed not only for pain but for depression and other mental disorders. Just use them responsibly and you won't become addicted.

and since I dont have a steady connection for marijuana anymore, I'll continue to shoot dope once in a while to satisfy the urge.

You can find brown but not green?

WTF kind of country is this? We fight a war on drugs only to make the harder ones more popular?

Fuck america.

edit

for me, i tried hydro/oxy a handful of times, didn't get addicted. Then a while down the road heroin came around, definitely got hooked, but am clean from all mu agonists for 2 months now, no desire to start it up again.

Suboxone can really help you kick a heroin habit.

Definately #3. It all started innocently enough. After a back injury I was prescribed 5mg Vicodin. I soon found out that by taking two my pain diminished significantly but I also got the most euphoric feeling. Long story short...several years later I was consuming an incredible amount of Norco 10/325. I wont say the amount cause most people cant believe it. I mean it was obscene. I am quite lucky I am not dead, not so much from the hydro but the APAP should have killed me. I have been detox'd for several years now. My doctor has performed tests on my liver (per my request) and to date no problem has been found. I was very lucky. Even Hydro needs to be alloted the same respect as any of the other stronger opiates. They will hook you quick and withdrawl is hell. Peace

I first tried opiates in high school buying vicodens percocets and fentanyl patches off friends. Tried heroin last year, developed a habit for about 2 months, quit, starting again for 4 months, recently quit again but relapsed once. I hate you, opiates, but i love you so much...

What about those of us who are addicted but haven't hit 5 yet??
In seriousness, On average I've used from bi-weekly to bi-monthly over the past year or so with 3 separate binges lasting around a week each being my most heavy use.
No withdrawals or tolerance to speak of yet..

Once I started doing H everyday as opposed to just on weekends..I got hooked

5 times by the way is nothing. I got addicted after like maybe 50 times.

If you truly want to know statistically how often people who try opiates become addicted, bluelight is not the place to find representative data.

I remember the first time I ever saw vicodin. This girl handed two to my friend and I asked if I could have two. She said they were 2 bucks each so I handed over the money and she gave me the pills. The day was amazing. I met another guy who stole them from his aunt and would give them to me for free; that is, until he got so addicted he had none to give away. Another guy stole his moms pharms (mind you, this was all in 9th grade so yes most of what I'm typing is childish) and sold them to everyone, mainly me. I remember being handed a pill I was told was "oxycontin" and just took it. I was dumb back then. I got so fucked up I could barely walk, and being as my tolerance was so low, I think it might have been a 20mg or something. All I know is it was white. It was a while ago. They got busted, and I couldn't get anymore drugs. It sucked. I realize how I only was touching the tip of the ice berg though. I never got REALLY high, as I never took more than two vicodin.

Fast forward three years and it's the day after I tried ecstasy. Oh what a night! The people I was with came and picked me up and said they were selling Norcos. Turned out to be lortabs but it didn't matter at the time. I could only afford one but since we had rolled the previous night he gave me one and half. I took them that night and I was in such bliss for four hours I couldn't even stand it. I felt better than the night before!!

I started doing it every other day (I found more sources) and then every day. I can't find OC's (well I can but the dealer's a flaky bitch) so I stick with my hydrocodone. It sucks though, because I only get high for max 20 minutes. I wish I could feel that 4 hour long high again. Even if I could just feel high for around 1 hour I'd be fine. It sucks. I snorted a 40mg OC and it was great, and I took two hits off shitty heroin and didn't feel anything. I like pharms because I know what I'm getting. It's not some tarry mess that could kill me, it's a measured dose.

Yes, shot up everything I could during the entirety of my teenage years, from heroin to the ultra-pharms, whatever. Eventually cleaned up, it's been a year now, but I still smoke weed everyday 8).

I still have near irresistible temptations, think almost Rockzo the Clown from Metalocalypse.

"C-C-C-C-Cocaine! I used to do COCAINE!" =D

Oxy C-C-C-C-Contin he says at one point too Rockzo is the shit. Back on topic i started with vics moved to norcos then oxy was at 160mg a day but just got my suboxone scrip yesturday on the way to bein clean. I have to say as far as the withdraws and temptation the bupe does a pretty damn good job. all my withdraws were gone within 4 hours of the first use including back pain and excruciating headache. So far I'm pretty damn happy with the medication gives me a little bit of a high but nothing to write home about. Also managed to sleep at a normal time and my appetite is back this all being just outside of 24 hours starting the meds.. lets hope it lasts :\
