I haven't watched a new episode of The Simpsons in ages, and I've never really felt like I was missing anything.
I just watched the movie. I feel like I could have skipped it and again, I wouldn't have missed anything.
There were some funny parts, but they were more along the non-sequiter lines that made the show so funny to begin with.
So, aside from Bart's penis, Otto toking on a bong, Marge yelling "God Damn" and Homer flipping the bird (can four fingered characters still flip the bird?), they could have made this an extended episode and it would have been just as mediocre.
I guess, all in all, it wasn't a let down like I thought it would be... I just don't think it's worth spending eight bucks to see on the big screen.
