Etizolam ran out fuck guys :(

julie thank you so much! im gonna make sure i stick to this its fucking hard but im trying my best

For anyone without Julies (very impressive) programming skills..its very easy to use excel to work out tapers if your even just a little bit proficient in it.....i used to do them all the time at work in my old job (never got round to following them though haha)

to anyone dependent who just thinks they can jump off the S.S Etizolam and weather the w/d THINK AGAIN

i did that and ended up in hospital after two life-threatening seizures. but luckily i am a survival story, thanks to our fantastic NHS and blind luck.

follow Julie's steps, she's a saint programming that all out for ya, and good luck, its not fun. i am no longer etizolam dependent (or any other benzo, for that matter); it can be done, you can do it!

so i had bad anxiety and didnt sleep a wink last night , relapsed tonight had a few mg of etiz :-( too anxious but it fucked with my head ! i trying my best but its hard if anyone wants to talk aboit it through pm im glad to cause i nearly got off it once and then fucked up :-( i hope if the gov reading this realise its me nt the drug avaiable, i have lost £100k over the years due to my obsessive destructive behaviour :-( i will get over this !

You just have to figure how you can do it so it´s easier and practical for you. It doesn´t have to be on a computer. Every one can develop their own ways to solve this.
Anyways..good luck for you Evey!!:)

I feel I must point out that I am a mathematician (albeit of the variety that habitually refers to the square root of minus one as "j", prefers the exponent to be a multiple of three when writing a number in scientific notation; so 589e-9 as opposed to 5.89e-7 and doesn't object to the use of numerical approximation as a first estimate, or at least a check on my workings) and not a doctor. I'm sure the maths are sound, and you're welcome to check my workings, but whether or not it will do you any good or harm is beyond my ken.

Trying to manage a tapered withdrawal from benzo addiction yourself can prove fatal and if you live in a country with a free healthcare system you should go to your doctor, explain everything and taper under the supervision of your doctor and pharmacist. Getting it wrong can lead to permanent brain damage or death. If you screw up a DIY kitchen you end up with a crappy kitchen. If you screw up benzo withdrawal you end up in a chemically induced coma with serious brain damage or dead. It isn't worth the risk.

Not always true mate, I did a supervised medical benzo detox and had a seizure which caused brain damage....

The best way to do it is listen to your body and reduce a little bit every day, even if its just a crumb. If it gets to much and you cant deal with it just take enough to make you some what comfortable.

Your treatment plan, as I have said in the other thread, was so far from best practise that it amounted to a total disregard for your safety. As described, what happened to you is a textbook case of medical malpractice and you need to take legal action and register a complaint with the GMC. The doctor who authorised that treatment needs his registration restricted or removed. A specialist clinic should have experts in their field. As a GP I would have predicted the likely result of that course of treatment.

Slow taper yes. I'd probably trust the advice from people on here about tapering off benzos more than i'd trust some doctors

The Ashton approach is very sound and I highly recommend it. Going it alone is fraught with problems concerning accurate dosing and knowing the proper response to falling off the wagon. Doctors understand the issues concerning drug addiction because drug abuse within the medical profession is very common. A non-judgemental, supportive approach at a pace dictated by patient experience is the best way to deal with addiction.

so im fucking up badly :-( cnt cope much longer, thinking i shud jus end this all now :-( hate this! nt jus my addiction but i want out of pain !

Valerian capsules can eliminate all withdrawals from Etizolam (besides some discomfort).

It takes 2-3 grams every 6 hours. No high blood pressure or cramps. Great for weaning off it.

Most naturally occurring hypnotics work through GABA receptor binding. However, that does not mean they have any role in withdrawal from any hypnotic pharmaceutical drug. The dosage level required to have any effect sufficient to overcome the life-threatening response to withdrawal from hypnotic drugs which work via a similar action simply cannot be achieved. Even if it could it would inevitably result in physical addiction to the naturally occurring substitute. Your advice has no scientific merit and is, quite frankly, dangerous. Withdrawal from hypnotic drugs kills people if not done correctly.

Still, in ACTUAL PRACTICE, more than once taking fifteen 200 mgs Valerian capsules have managed to get my blood pressure down, make my heart stop beating, stop the cramps, and reduce my psychological state from dangerously anxious, aggressive, irritable, deppressed, and border-line psychotic to almost normal.

It's ignorant people like you, which there are lots of in the medical professional, who contribute to people being powerless to help themselves and unable to find any help.

Or don't you know Valium, the original benzodiapine, was synthesised based on the chemical structure of Valerian? So if it's a situation that Valium would help it's possible that Valerian will help.

I guess that there's a difference between writing "Valerian can eliminate all withdrawals from etizolam" and "For me, valerian has eliminated all my withdrawals from etizolam" (anecdotal).

This is, I believe, what pjd555 means with your advice has no scientific merit and is dangerous. I can't find any studies to back up the valerian eliminates all withdrawal claim. The fact that it shares some chemical properties and hits some of the same receptors doesn't mean that it's safe for the next person to do a benzo withdrawal with Valerian capsules only!
