EADD Nootropics thread

I wasn't actually stating that the pirecetam was causing me to be weird or moe stupid....that's just me normal. ;)

I'll stick with it for a while and see how it goes. :)

Hey, today I came accross some "Elemental Lithium". I was wondering if anyone's ever heard of this?

Headaches with piracetam indicate insufficient acetylcholine levels. If you are taking choline bitartrate as your choline source try one of the following in preference from what I have read to be least effective to more: lecithin, dmae, cdp-choline, alpha glyceryol phosphoryl choline, centrophenoxine.

Don't use a tea spoon to measure a teaspoon. I'm familiar with the metric system but I don't know if you use the measures of teaspoon and tablespoon over there (I'm american), if you don't have a scale I suggest you look into buying a set of measurement spoons, they're typically used for measuring ingredients for baking and cooking here.

I haven't had a headache since the first day of taking the pirecetam, think that was around 5 days ago.

Yeah, measurement spoons are good to have around, even if you don't have a scale, but can borrow or access one, you can weigh out what a tsp, 1/4 tsp, etc. is in mg's for each substance, and dose accordingly.

I missed taking my pircetam yesterday, shouldn't make any difference should it?

not really. Might just take a day or two longer before you feel full effects worst case scenario.

When the piracetam has started doing the trick for you and working properly do you wake up in the morning and straight away feel motivated / focused etc or is it only after you've taken the piracetam and it's worked its way into your system the motivation comes?

Basically just want to know if it's a steady thing if you've been taking it daily or only works once you've dosed.

My hydergine/piracetam/choline stack is working excellently. I feel a lot more motivated and "in the moment".

The only downside of this is the massive anal twitches that piracetam induces in me. It's a rare but documented effect, the stuff tends to cause my arsehole to flinch horrendously a few times a day. Nothing dehabilitating but it's quite unpleasant!!!
Ugh... that sounds unappealing.

What if it happened while you were trying to squeeze out a fart silently in a meeting... but the sphincter tightened and served to amplify the fart into a high-pitch, colon-rupturing squeal that brought looks of disapproval and derision?

That would be most unacceptable.

I have nothing further to add, other than to say that this is a great thread. Hope your regime works out, Spade.

Bought a whole load other other suppliments today, high dose vit C, ginko bilboa, korean ginseng, vit b complex, st johns wort, multi vits and iron and cod liver oil pills. I know these aren't nootropics but I feel they can do me some benefit.

Hopefully in a week or twos time I'll be more mentally focused, on the ball and motivated. :D

Taken together, B vitamins + St. John's wort can have significant antidepressant effects, though it can take a week or two to start working

Well, I take 100mg niacin (B3) and 100mg pridoxine (B6), and about 2 grams St Johns wort and it seems to help some. Of course, I'm taking a few other things too, and I used to have to take more SJW to be effective.

My St Johns Wort tabs are 340mg, says one a day, is it silly to take more than reccomended or should I just be really mad and do it anyway?

I've found the tablets are pretty much useless, for me, unless I take like 8-10 of them or more. Its cheaper to just get whole herb online for about $10 a pound, grind it up and just swallow it or mix it with food or something, though its really grassy tasting, not too pleasant but tolerable.

This is now around 9 days on the Pirecetam, still doing a full teaspoon of it every day when I get up, not sure whether it's having any effect so far or not but I'll keep at it. I did feel slightly more motivated than usual yesterday, I'll see how the next few days go before I can make a judgement. :)

Like I've said before you don't so much notice it's effects, you notice the lack of general shit concentration and other negative cognitive effects.

You don't wake up and think "fucking hell, I feel about 1/3rd more motivated and my memory is sharp as a dart". You sort of think "wow, I haven't been forgetting everything/being a general spaz, I'm sure I wasn't this clear headed last week". Then if you stop doing it for a few days you realise how much it had improved you, that's when you start to notice things (and decide it's probably a good idea to start redosing!). It really does creep up on you and is very gradual.

I'd say that the effects reside fairly gradually aswell. Try and do it every day, it takes a few days of not doing it for me to go back to baseline, then when I do dose again the sharpness returns. This is when an attack dose (an extra gram or so) might be handy imo.

I'm still forgetting things and being a bit lazy / unfocused atm, hopefully that will sort it's self out asap.

Should I keep with the attack doses for now (a full teaspoon every day) until I notice a decent change?

How much is on a full teaspoon?

Just started a supplement regiment and although I've yet to add the nootropics I desire (for lack of funds until next week), Its been doing me pretty well.

2 tabs fish oil.
1 Multivitamin
1 B-complex (extended release)
1 Melatonin (for sleep and to help with nightmares)

I plan on adding:

n-acetyl-cysteine (I drink a bit too much alchohol, required for liver function)
Piracetam
Aniracetam (a future maybe)
Choline
Ginsing
Phenibut (for when I run out of my imported valium)
Modafinil (although it's extremely expensive, I've been scripted for it when I had health insurance and it did work well on my ADD, another big maybe)

I can't think of anything else to add to that besides maybe green tea in the morning, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Note: I'm also pretty much vegan (health reasons only), with the exception of fish because it's very good for you (only sushi and fish oil do I consume, can't eat cooked fish).
