^^Ryan Gosling <3 plays a bad man bank robber.
Not a bad watch tbh.

Strange film.

Building up Gosling as the main character, then killing him off 40 minutes in. Didn't enjoy it.

Off the top of my head:

Jackie Brown is a good tarantino film, not quite on par with Pulp/Reservoir but still a good film.

Legends of the Fall I thought was a brilliant film, got Anthony Hopkins in

Dead Man's Shoes is a decent English revenge flick.

Casino is a big gangster cast and lots of F-bombs.

Shutter Island for a good plot twist.

Haha, how could anyone not <3 Mister gosling. :D

:D you're awesome.

I don't like him :P

I think he has a creepy, emotionless face and dead eyes.

I really need to repress this crush I've got on him, the other day it actually turned into reading an article about him drinking water. Literally. What's wrong with me?
(actually no don't answer that)

Shutter Island for a good plot twist.

Agreed, I really enjoyed that one.

Hansel and Gretel Witch hunters is a fun movie - we've just finished watching it and really enjoyed it. Going out later for dinner and then to watch the new Star Trek movie :).

Acquired the new Star Trek fillum t'other day and was thinking of watching it later. Last one was shite though so don't hold out much hope. Should be suitably mindnumbing though.

In Shutter Island news, I really wanted to like it but it kinda left me a bit cold. Might try it again sometime cos was probably just not in the right frame of mind. Just seemed yawnsomely predictable to me last time though. Plot twist? What plot twist? The one that you could see coming from the first frame?

Watched Dredd, Glengarry Glen Ross and Cosmopolis (David Cronenberg) last night. All good films, though obviously Dredd is a load of action packed nonsense while the other two are just a little bit more cerebral. Cosmopolis is borderline pretentious but I think it gets away with it.

I really wanted to like Cosmopolis but just couldn't quite get there. Falls just this side of being shite cos it's Cronenberg. But is perilously close to the "actually it is shite anyway" line cos it is quite shite. Very disappointed actually after seeing Mark Kermode waxing lyrical about it. He was interviewing Cronenberg at the time though so probably felt he had to.

Just noticed how often I've used the word "shite" in posts in this thread of late. I really do seem to be a grumpy bugger when it comes to films these days. Or maybe there are just more shitey films about.

Got high hopes for that Sightseers one PTCH mentioned recently. Been trying to acquire it ferra while now but only come across iffy copies. Might go have another looksee inna bit cos does look good.

Booo. Nooo.. :p
Just because he always gets to play the part of 'cool' non vocal types doesn't mean his acting is in any way wooden.

:D you're awesome.

Thanks. I do try ;)

Reading about Ryan Gosling is perfectly understandable.
He's just so majestic. <3

Aye. He's like a fucking Thunderbird extra.

Really?

Would a thunderbird do this? :D
