Mesrine parts 1 and 2, Stander
Mesrine is fukkin brilliant. Watched 'em both back-to-back a while back. Second one is maybe not as enjoyable as the first but is good for other reasons. You definitely need to see both..
Fuck yes!
They were on Film4 last year sometime - Is that where you watched them Shammy?
I watched them both back 2 back, and my invented invisible entity they were brilliant!!!!! %)
Some of the best French cinematography I've seen for certain :)

I know they're based upon real events and characters, but the films themselves - in which many other films based on real events / people fail badly - felt and appeared extremely real. Proper rawness from them and such :)
If any of you ever get a chance to see them both back 2 back - Cancel everything else and have yerself a Mesrine Marathon ;)

Fucking brilliant! <3~{^.^}~<3

I've heard of Glengarry Glen Ross but I always thought it sounded like some pedestrian Highlands period drama, like the Prime of Miss Jean Brodie or something, which I don't think it is. Queued.

That's a fair assumption. Or, Billy Connolly tries to save a floundering distillery. It's not like that, though. Exceptional cast.

Glengarry Glen Ross, which I'd never even heard of until very recently. Exceptional, magnificent etc. Whiplash script.

Classic.

Noted for one of the few movies that has an all male cast( apart from a female extra)
If you ever worked a crappy sales job or know anyone who still does this is THE must see movie for that profession.

Ooft, when Al Pacino gets going, good god he's good.

Interesting that GGR was same year as Scent Of A Woman but there's at least a decade between his characters in each.

Tonight I shall re-watch one of the all time classic comedies , and talk about prophetic

=D

Some really very good scenes in there, for sure. Just didn't think it worked that great overall. Is quite possible I was just inna shitty mood when I watched it, though. Well worth a watch either way.

Newsroom: You're the first person I've seen with a good word to say about it. I fukkin hated West Wing and Social Network too which doesn't bode so well... The idea did sound pretty appealing though so might give it a bash :)

West Wing suffers a bit from the whole" people talk fast they must think its smart" syndrome.
I always had a hard time waching it stoned , so i always needed the subtitle track

Mad Tv Did a great parody.

I used to think it was pants and almost gave up in season 1, but stuck with it and must admit it was pretty amazing IMHO.
Studio 60 was actually better IMHO but never really got much recognition.

FTR I loved " The Social Network" so maybe im just a bit of a Sorkin Whore. I thought it was a great movie.

True Romance has to be my favourite film ever made.

Another good Christian Slater film which isn't very well known is 'Very Bad Things' featuring Cameron Diaz and Jon Favreau...

Warm Bodies - A new slant on the typical Zombie movie.

Its a comedy / romance movie based on a Zombie but really watchable :)

I love the Thomas Newman - Any other name tune in that film, beautiful
