Television Dexter

I have the same worries as you. If they pin the thing on Doakes, I don't know what they will do next season. If Dexter gets busted, I don't know either. But I guess that's why they write the show and I don't.;)

Just watched episode 9.
Wow great cliff hanger-how the fuck is Dexter going to rectify this I wonder.
I find myself routing for Dex but at the same time don't feel its right for Doakes to cop the flak. After all he was right all along.

I'm getting a bit worried that the way this season is going it is going to make it hard to follow up with a season three-anyone else see this?

So how many episodes remain in season two? Is it eleven as in season one?

3 more to go, for 12 in total, the same number they did last year. The last one is titled "The British Invasion", which has me worried about Lila dropping a big old crazy bomb at the end.

As for Doakes, I suspect they will find he's murdered someone in cold blood in the past, which will give Dexter a (in his mind) justifiable reason to kill him. There is no way I can see Doakes getting out of this season alive knowing what he knows, whether it be by Dexter or some other way we don't know. The next three weeks should be fun, and to those who bailed on it, your loss.

That Lila, hot as she is, really needs to die eh?
I feel she has a dark, dark secret that might give Dex the perfect excuse to send her the way of Jimenez???
I mean we all know she is a thief and a closet arsonist, as well as being insanely obsessive-what else could she be?

Man this season really has become great. To the person who stopped watching: Don't you remember how much the first 4 episodes of last season sucked compared to the rest? That is just how this show works, they get the worst plots over with at the beginning of the season but by the end the show redeems itself from all of its previous flaws by achieving perfection. Its not The Wire or anything, but its a goddamn good fucking show.

She did actually kill someone in a fire already.... Dexter can do as he pleases! He is smarter than that however, and will most likely not kill her. Ex boyfriends are instant suspects.

As to the person that gave up and says teh show is garbage now... you seriously missed out. This season is building to be even better than the first. I too was a bit annoyed at the beginning of the season for similar reasons as you, but thats no reason to stop watching. Serialized TV shows always suck when the seasons first start. Its all about the buildup.

I had a feeling for awhile now that doakes was going to end up being a suspect, similar to last season how everyone had inklings that Rudy was the ice truck killer. These things are big "twists" if you will, but both were revealed with a few episodes left in the season. I'm really anxious to see what this season's big twist or cliffhanger will end up being.

Dexter I'm sure will find some ingenious way to handle the Doakes situation. I really can't wait for next week's episode!

doakes does have a dark past.... but killing him still seems against harry's code. i am not sure if dexter will go through with it in the end. he is just getting back to living his life up to every letter of harry's detailed code. he threw it all away with lila and it blew up in his face. he has to be too careful right now. and i dont see how he can kill doakes, get his leg fixed, get rid of two bodies and still get home in time for the detail not to be alerted.

and seriously, lundy- keep your tongue in your own mouth, please! gross. im sure it wont happen, but tia.

i dont like having the knowledge of the final episode's title or that there is a season three coming. it makes it too easy to rule out certain things from happening and too easy to make wild guesses.
after the final episode there ill be live chats with all the starts on sho.com. there is supposed to be a huge surprise bombshell ending.

Great Finale last night. Anyone have any thought on it?

I thought it was pretty damn good. I think they tied everything together to end the season the best way they could. Great show.

i think dexter is coming back as a whole new man. a man that has a hold on his identity (no longer harry's son, good or bad, etc.) and will finally come into his own... which should be some nice murderous glee.
tight moments this season, which were a bit crazy/overdone, but still a solid run.
cant wait for it to start up again.

Can you post a reference for that please? Somehow that makes little to no sense to me.

i was so annoyed when i heard it was going to prime time, it just would not be the same. i'm sorry that viewers will get a watered down version of season one. that season was so well done it may not be horrid, though.

This is the only show I follow on SHO. Great series and always fun. Been watching it since day one and still love the whole Ice Truck Killer thing going on in the first season.

Watched the first six episodes of the first season over the weekend

Loving this show long time

Any indication on when a 3rd series will be available? All i know is it has been renewed for a third
