Television Dexter

since this has just started airing in aus, I was intruiged and downloaded the lot season 1 and 2, gotta say freakin awesome series Im dying to see more

i think it will start airing again in the US in September? Dam Im keen to get my hands on season 3

I need another series to get my fix dammit, any suggestions? :\
 
Dexter is one of only series I follow.. I really love Deborah, she is one of the greatest females in TV-series. I love it, that she's cursing so much, every other word is fuck, and when Lundy complains about that, she just says: "This is me, take it or leave it." At the same time (I saw second season around february) my ex was complaining about my cursing and I just tried not to do it... Jeez, what a sheep. Never again.

my god, yay!
this season looks awesome. i cant wait. there has been so much speculation as to who dexter will be reborn as and this answered a good deal of it. not quite as different a person as i thought at the end of the next season. i am glad that they are going to continue with his inner struggles. i think that the focus on that, along with all of the crime scene and violence, is what takes the show to a higher level than so many other crime dramas on tv now.
 
so season 3 episode 1 is out there online (pre airing they are saying) I just got done watching the first two seasons and ep 1 of season 3. This is a good show, a bit harsh in places but it is very addicting!
I want more..!

totally watching, and totally loving.

i don't know, i like the dynamic they are bringing in with miguel, and he is constantly suprising dexter with his acceptance, and as in this last epi, sorry for his temper taking over and realizing that dex was right. so showing his humanity, and more importantly, showing it to dexter. i like this, a lot :) just wish they would get rid of that annoying goodie two shoes fiance, i just wanna stab her or myself in the eyes when she comes on screen, she really bothers me for some reason.
 
I am really into this show and i totally think miguel prado's a goner, when and how is whats keeping me watching
 
i dont know if he will kill prado or... just let him in on a murder then set up the crime scene with his forensic knowledge and the bloody shirt from freebo therefore getting him out of his hair with a frame job

I dont know, im a big fan of dexter, or at least was. This season has been a letdown for me...it seems cliche and really corny. Does anyone feel like this show is just turning into a soap opera? Dexter getting married (I know, I know, its an interesting added dimension that attempts to add normalcy to an otherwise chaotic life)Batista getting a new girl, deb with the CI, etc...I understand there needs to be character development, but, honestly, who gives a FUCK about these other people. I watch the show to see what dexter is going to do. The sappy music in the background in different love scenes. Maybe its because I found out that CBS is showtimes parent company. I always thought the HBO and Showtimes were private companies that were artistically free from the bullshit mainstream channels. But ever since I found out about CBS being connected with the show, I think lesser of it. I enjoyed the first 2 seasons because they were really dark, and i want to see it become even darker. With the way this show is going, it seems like dexter will become a born again christian. Thoughts?
 
good god, i love this show. i cannot gte enough. 60 minutes is not enough show!

i think this transformation is amazing. dexter has truly grown. i love how he has become so much more human and to watch these emotions (he actually has emotions!) figure in with his homicidal tendencies.

and the miguel thing, well, hot damn! i am on the edge of my seat every week!

tomer, how can you not be excited about dexter having a baby and seeing how fatherhood will affect him?! not to mention what will the child a serial killer be like!? plus, him and the relationship with miguel has really progressed. i feel like we're finally seeing the real dexter. and it doesn't matter what he does- even when he's viciously murdering someone, you always root for him! i kinda get laguerrta and the the others, but i still like seeing their interactions.

btw, deb is one of the strangest looking women ever. she reminds me of the that one episode of "seinfeld"- in certain light she looks hot, other times not so much.
 
I hear you Tomer. I was thinking the same thing. I want it to get darker like the first 2 seasons.

But after last week's episode ( I haven't watched tonight's yet cuz it's not online yet :) ) i am on the edge of my freakin seat! are they gonna kill dexter? if this is the last season i'll be pissed cuz i have to find a new favorite show :( booo
 
Agreed, I enjoyed last weeks and tonight's is nice as well. I just want them to fast-forward to another season or 2 years from now when Deb finally finds out the truth about him.
 
I saw all 3 seasons and.. i'm an addict of Dexter haha, I cant wait till the 3rd season DVD box set is avaible here to complete my collection.

I was so happy when I learned they signed for 2 more seasons

I tought the 3rd season was weird tough, I didnt like Miguel Prado so much but it was original.

Its really well written too, sometimes when they speak about addiction and the dark passenger I recognize myself in some way.. But my thing was drugs not ritual murder lol

season four started just last week. you can find season 3 on demand on showtime, or search hulu and such for tv online. there will be a box set coming out also.

only one episode in and there seems to be a ton of potential for this season. last season was alright but strayed a bit from what i loved in the first season. it seems like the show is getting back on track with the original concept of how dexter can live his life in secret while still feeding his 'dark passenger'.
 
Hulu only has one full episode and that is season 4 episode 1.

I haven't seen season 3 yet so I guess I'll have to find that on DVD or something... thanks though
