Can you believe this shit?!

Well maybe but he started another thread about APAP so either he got more or is using the last of his script. If I were him I wouldn't come back for another lecture either though.

Ok guy's I forgot to tell you what happened. But here is what happened:

Sitting in the exam room and the Dr. comes in with a nurse who has a laptop and they both sit down. They sent my urine sample to a lab The Dr. goes on to say "Well we found a few medication in your urine but none of them are the ones we prescribe you" and I am like "well I know I messed up and there was THC in there..." and he says "well you were positive for: Xanax, Oxycodone and Oxymorphone." Now I swear to god that I have never touched oxymorphone (so i have no idea how that could of got in there other then the fact that oxycodone does break down into oxymorphone so maybe thats why it comes up?) Well I am 99% that I didnt have any oxycodone or xanax b4 that piss test either.

Now I did take 1mg of Suboxone like a day b4 I took that piss test, but I heard that BUP wouldn't show up in a drug test and they have to test SPECIFICALLY for it.. But sense my test was sent to a lab and had the GC/MS and all them other advanced tests. So I am wondering if maybe Suboxone shows up as Oxycodone/Oxymorphone for some strange reason? The only thing they have in common tho is that they are both extracted form the Thebaine alkaloid in the poppy pod, so idk??.... But I really dont know how that oxy and xanax got in my system??And I'v read a couple other reports of people testing positive for OXY while on suboxone and swore that he/she hadn't taken any in 6 months when he/she took the test. So I dunno if they were just BSing or what but does anyone know if bupenorphine (subs) come up as oxycodone in drug tests done by labs?!

Anyone know any info about Suboxone and drug testing and it coming up positive for oxycodone? (and xanax?)

oh and btw I got all my scripts and got to give another drug test and passed the standard 5 panel one but now its goin to the lab and I am scared that this suboxone in my system will show up...!! b/c i had taken another 0.5-1mg of Suboxone the day b4 i took the 2nd drug test on april 7th.
thanks...

That is pretty weird, if you honestly haven't taken those. Especially the Xanax. Are you sure they got the right piss tested? lol

No drug testing questions. [unknown]

Well, see dude the way i see it, is Cannibis isent a drug. I say that because im a religous man, and there are many referances to things that i would say referance to weed.

But dude thats some shit.

At some of the schools here in indianapolis there testing athelets hair and blood stream.

I guess they can find out if youve smoke withing like the past 4-5 months by your hair.

And if our country is so "one nation under god" the DEA should stop PLAYING GOD and let narcotics run loose, because if someone wants to ruin there lives let them do it.

I dont like second hand smoke but i have to deal with it. So why can we put up with the naighboorhood crack head?

And plus poloticians are argueing against somthing they dont really know what its like.

There hypocrits.

^What an intelligent argument

OP, I can't find anything that says Buprenorphine breaks down into Oxycodone. The only thing Wikipedia mentions by name is norbuprenorphine, then it says "other metabolites"

I think those other metabolites were anything significant like oxycodone, they would be mentioned by name.

Weird stuff

Jahred that is crazy what happened with the lab testing (and I'm surprised you didn't get dropped- not for the weed but the other stuff they THOUGHT they found).

Thanks for updating us!

I'll bite.

How did you explain the fact that you weren't taking your prescribed medication?

How did they respond to your denials as to the other drugs?

Why did they write you more scripts for the drugs you weren't taking?

How did you explain the fact that you weren't taking your prescribed medication?
I just told them that I only take my hydrocodone as NEEDED and just must have not taken any in the days following the drug test. The Dr. didn't really say much about it.

How did they respond to your denials as to the other drugs?
I denied it and he just kinda said "well thats what we found." and then said "you know its a legal issue for me, it not a legal issue for you." so he kinda just listened to me but didnt respond when i denied.

Why did they write you more scripts for the drugs you weren't taking? I honestly have no idea how or why they gave me my scripts again lol.. they said this was my LAST CHANCE.
Well they gave me another drug test and i past the little 5 panel one, and now they are going to send it to lab to make sure its clean. They didnt find the suboxone in the last urine but i am wondering if maybe the suboxone is some how showing up a false positive for oxycodone/oxymorphone and maybe xanax too??

Well, it sounds like so far things are going well for you. That's awesome. Aren't you glad that you didn't yell at him? :) It sounds like you have a pretty good doctor there, before you made it seem like he was much more of an asshole.

But, since it sounds like he wasn't taken aback at the admission of weed, and was more concerned with the oxymorphone/oxycodone and xanax, then maybe you can talk to him about it? Say that you would like to use because it helps you control your pain with less pills, but you don't want to jeopardize your relationship with him.

That is a shame. For all you haters on marijuana: It is a miracle drug. At least compared to others. First off, I live in Michigan and a proposal just passed for legalization of medicinal marijuana. So a lot of pain clinics will prescribe some pretty good chronic for patients with severe and chronic pain (hence Chronic=weed). Those patients include BUT are not limited to having: Glaucoma, Cancer, PAIN.

YES, Marijuana is a drug. But it is also a plant, and if you have ever heard, or know of anyone who went through any sort of physical withdrawals that compare to those of opiates, benzos, etc. then it is 99.9% chance its a lie. I had to quit smoking weed about 3 months ago because I have a drug test for a job (actually here in a week or two) and I had NO problem. The only things I noticed were having memory of my dreams and maybe, just maybe slight irritability but that goes to think..anyone who doesn't use any sort of drug, including alchohol are usually quite irritable. They wake up in the morning and thats the best they're going to feel all day. It is a shame how much marijuana is frowned upon here in the States.

If anyone with the right mind was given the option to choose one of the following to legalize : 1)Beer or 2) weed. It would be weed hands down. Do you ever hear of a pothead beating his wife? Or how about somebody driving like maniacs down an interstate and crashing their vehicles while under the influence of weed? If weed were to be just recently discovered it would be a wonder drug. It would be over-the-counter, a peace-maker, and an economy booster because the government could grow it (which means more jobs) and then sell it (More jobs) and tax the Shi* out of it like they do cigarettes.

My heart goes out to you JahRed24x. You should not be punished one bit for having marijuana in your system if you are being prescribed opiates and benzos.

Thats a good idea, Bring it all out now that way he knows you care and want a good releationship.
I love my PM He is awesome and honesty is the best policy.
Glad it worked out for ya.

marijuana isnt addictive, but compulsive/obsessive activities are, of any kind. if you abuse weed it will have consequences for your psyche that even heroin doesnt. weed trips you out - that can make you go insane if you are predisposed... also, weed produces dopamine, which is the no. 1 pleasure chemical, thats why coke and heroin are addictive, and so is weed. anything that produces dopamine is - i.e. any pleasurable activity, even sitting reading and drinking tea - and that can fuck your life up too

if you're a crackhead chances are weed is actually healing your brain more than hurting. but if you're not, you could probably do without it if you're feeling stressed

And what is opium? That's a plant. I hate this arguement with a passion; it must be good for you because it's a plant. Styrchnine is natural too, so is morphine. Hell, so is cocaine. And methamphetamne has been found as an alkaloid in a texas tree species. Are they good for you?
The only reason people think plants are better for you is because they have been brainwashed by marketting. Natural stuff is no different than synthetic drugs; there is no "life force" to differentiate natural products from synthetic ones.

Yes, I knew a pothead who beat not only his wife, but his daughter too

Besides, it would have been absolutely fine for him to be punished for having marijuana in his system. Despite anybody's personal feelings (mine included), marijuana is illegal, plain and simple. Personal philosophy can be helpful in trying to change the law, but in no way makes you exempt.

But, it looks like he's getting another chance, and that's good. I would hate to see someone lose their PM over one mistake
