Boo 7-October 12th-Randall's Island NY —Take IV

i am *deffinately* going.. i have my ticket and im chillen @ a friend's house rite now, we're planning on getting up around 11 or 12 tomorrow taking our sweet ass time to get ready and leaving (nyc is only 20 mins away). i dont know if ill make meetup or not... of course i changed my mind about what im wearing (due to the rain)... i will be wearing long jnco shorts, a bright obnoxiously green 1 sleeve asymetrical shirt (homemade no doubt)... steve, come find me and drag my ass to a meetup :) dawn, ill come visit you at some point tomorrow afternoon ... and everyone else, if you see me come say hello ;)
 
Surprise! i'll be at boo with my X, we are leaving in about an hour. look for the scary raver in a red 3 button collard shirt with a black shirt under it and an army hat. i'll also be walking around with my X who is easy to spot she's 4'11 and smokein' hot :) i hope to see everyone i'd like to see and none the people i don't ;) gotta get dressed now C-ya.

well, i just called kevin, and i'll be leaving my house in like 10 minutes to go get him... and then we're on our way!
i'm in a blue turtleneck sweater and black (ok, realy dark navy blue) UFOs, with short hair and big hoop earrings. most of you know who i am.

Im in uber raver water resistant gear, bright ass blue caffeine pants that id never wear, hence why they are still bright ass blue and like 2 years old. I think i wore em once, and a big ass ass white and green old navy winter coat. my intent is to not be all decked out,but to be dry as possible. Ill also have on a blue hat with a yellow Etines logo on it(yes its a fucking E, woopty doo :P) Most of you know me and can find me easily though
whos ready for pneumonia! woooweee! ;)

Batty I got you message a bit too late sowwy. I really wanted to go to at least a pre-party meetup but I have been on this job search which has been taking alot of my time up!
Hopefully I will find one on Monday then I won't have an excuse to ditch the next meetup!
So how bad was the rain? I slept most of today away so I don't know how bad it really was outside??
 
Oh yes, the very first to review the event. This is just a quick stop off before we hit up an afterparty, but I figure I'll jump on this.
The rain kind of sucked, but in the end it kind of enhanced the experience. I mean really, how many raves do you remember from the sunlight? This you'll always remember as the infamous orgy of mud. You can tell your raving grandchildren.
I didn't meet any other blers unfortunately, seeing as the main stage didn't so much exist.
Overall, I started off pissed about the party because I was afraid none of the main acts showed. Which I'm pretty sure some didn't. But in the end, it had some good people, not so much dippy smell in the air, and the mud prevented e-puddles from forming. Not too shabby.
Sorry if this doesn't make sense, I'm still excited don't you know. :/
 
Okay, so it turned out that most everybody did show upon closer inspection of the lineups we had seen. I just got back from an after party where I added an additional five hours of hard dancing to my Boo total. I think my legs may well fall off.

HOW did it enhance the experience? by making it cold an miserable? or by making it so basicaly none of the head liners proformed(who were the people my girl wanted to see, and there for the only reason i when the this fucking party)

Now for my review. High light of the night was when I was on my way leaving I saw Dana and gave her fat 350lb ass the finger. I want my money back. None of the headliners played, there for i should ATLEAST get a partial if not total refund and if i don't i'm gonna get dana's home address and start a MAIL IN petition when i will post and tell everyone her address so we can mail her and ask for our money back. i'd also like to say that the race for NY's Shitiest production team has shifted from NYWO to stuck on earth for they're ability to have The crystal Method, BT, The X-Ecutioners, Biohazard and all of the other head liner booked and then NOT HAVE THEM SPIN!!! not to mention for ruining DSL's set with 2 of the shitist MC's who mostly just yelled lame shit like "D S L whats that Spell?" prolly cause they truly didn't know. I hated this party only reason i whent was cause Joleen wanted to and she didn't even have fun. FUCK SOE.

^Alright, I'll agree, the mud did suck. And the fact that we were expected to show rain or shine but not the djs, well, that was just wrong. Sorry, I was just trying to put a positive spin on it considering the fact that I just spent a significant amount of money on this event. In the morning light without a couple of fat bowls in my system it doesn't all look so good now.
 
please... this isn't the first time SOE has riped people off on a line up. I'm sick of it. I am getting a refund so i'm not going to bitch that much i'm getting the $65 buck for joleen's ticket back but look like i'm going to have to eat the $40 in tolls.

im going back to the 2 year boycott i broke to go to that party, fuck soe... NO MORE -- we seriously need to start a movement to oust stuck on earth from the nyc scene and get a REAL production company in here... grrrrrrrr i have so much to bitch about but that will be all.
i *did* end up having a good time by the end of the night, but i coulda done that anywhere, i do exactly what i did at that party (usually dry none-the-less)every weekend for less than $15...
