Could be the solvents you never know. Are you talking about Meth, coke or H though? I hear when injecting good coke you get that back of the throat feeling.

that's a good harm minimisation spiel. the more purer the drug....the stronger the "feeling" on the back of the throat! are you a doctor mate?
 
Didn't mean it as harm reduction, Simply passing on what coke heads say. I wouldn't have a clue to tell the truth, never done coke.

Injecting, tolerance & location

Hi people

There used to be an IV post here but it's disappeared into the wastelands, so pardon this seperate post.

I had a question about injecting, tolerance and location of use. I know that location does have an effect on tolerance, but I wondered how far that efffect extended. Is it extremely specific (i.e. if I always injecting in one room of my house, tolerance will decrease if I next inject in another room), or does it just extend to the 'general location' (i.e. tolerance would be reduced in any room of my house, no matter if I only injecting in my bedroom)?

Sorry if this doesn't come across conherently, I'm having a brain drain Monday.

What are you injecting? If its meth then I would hazard a guess that you are experiencing psychosomatic effects, there is no way that location can effect tolerance, except in a very general set-and-setting kind of way.
 
Actually the bigger the vein the better the rush and quicker it hits.

hhah. dude, i have no fucking idea what you are talking about.

Do you mean the location of the place you inject in (ie, geographically) will affect what type of high you have? If so, then i think what killarava ( ;)) said is correct - the effect, if any, would be purely psychosomatic.

The only time i have ever heard of 'location' materially effecting your high is in the context of where you actually inject ie forearm versus, say, your upper leg. Obviously, this will effect your high and how fast it hits you, but i am not sure if you are using 'location' in this context.

I don't think it really effects it at all. Apart from it maybe effecting your 'headspace' or something when you initially boot, i don't think your body notices one bit.

I have done it in a million different places, and i can't say it has ever mattered.
 
It does have a psychosomatic effect. It does to me if it's dfone in a house, someone elses house, the normal park, a differentr park, car, someone elses car etc.. all changes the high a bit.
 
really? that is so weird.

i can understand it maybe changing it for the slightest moment when you first boot, but i have always experienced the same high after the drugs inevitably take effect.

how unusual.
 
The reason I brought this all up is because a few weeks ago when I blasted I felt *nothing*. Well, a slight undercurrent, but for all intents and purposes, nothing. I now realise the stuff was shit purity, but it got me thinking - I blast in the exact same place each time (in my lounge room, lying against my couch, etc etc) and wondered whether that had some effect (and yes, I know about tolerance in general).

So yeah, that was why I bought it up. :)
 
yeah - i would more than likely conclude the same thing.

I wouldn't necessarily blame it on the fact that i had my shot in a different room of the house. hahaha.

Question about injecting

OK, I am going to be practicing injecting with water. Whenever I try to get a register though, I only get a little tiny bit of blood, whereas the time I tried to get a register on the shot of speed I stuffed up, the syrine filled with blood like I saw my guy do it. So what's the deal? Am I hitting the veins right with the water and it just doesn't carry blood as well, or what?
