What makes you different from all the other working girls in the world who probably wouldn't put up with one question about what they do, much less 10 pages of questions....?

All? I mentioned this thread on a providers board and another provider said she'd love to jump into the discussion here because she's had the same conversations on AOL chatrooms. I chose not to direct her here because this is a drug forum and there's a lot of drug ignorance on the providers board so I'm not interested in being known as the drug doing one. Not really. There's not anything to justify in my eyes, basically I have a lot of free time and the internet is where I spend most of it. Part of me feels sorry for them and part of me looks down on them. I don't know any of them as individuals and I'm sure that reasons and backgrounds vary but I feel sorry for them because regardless of their reasons they're the ones that are most at risk for...well..everything bad that people think of when they think of the sex industry.

Part of me looks down on them because I'm egotistical and I feel that they're the ones most responsible for the seedy reputation of the sex industry.

Do you think that you could take your expierence as an escort and use it in a positive way, like maybe counseling women who are caught up in the game? Or do you think that high-end escorts and street walkers are just two different types of people, and they probably wouldn't listen to you......?

I've considered it but I have no idea how it would go. I think that the high end escort usually comes from a classier background so building a connection might be iffy. We both sell sex but since we're coming from different worlds both in background and servicing different aspects of the industry it's pretty different. I've sure never been robbed, raped, or threatened. Those things seem to happen to streetwalkers fairly regularly.

But I don't really know that. I can speculate but that's all it is. Perhaps I've got a totally wrong picture and if a current/former streetwalker were on this thread she'd lend a different perspective on her side of the industry similar to how I've challenged many of the presumptions about the escort business.

I didn't say I was proud of the fact that I'm egotistical, I simply admitted to it. That's why I framed my response the way I did.

On the other hand by having sex with a stranger, no questions asked, you takes your chances, and everyone involved in the industry on both sides knows that. If I do have STD's then I didn't spontaneously generate them by nature of my job, I caught them from someone else, that was the risk I took by doing this job. By coming to see me one has accepted a degree of risk, just as I accept a degree of risk by seeing them.

The risk of catching something is inherent to participating in this business.

On the up side one is probably somewhat safer seeing me then seeing a streetwalker because for both of our protections I insist on using a condom, whereas streetwalkers are especially well known for letting people buy out of it for a pretty small amount of money.

i have a feeling that in regards to a recent test, a lot of these clients don't care.

a lot of the guys i know could not care less about std's. no desire to wear a condom or get tested for anything. my current boyfriend believes that he's fine, b/c my tests came back clear (young, dumb, and full of cum). ignorance is bliss, apparently.

Well most people never ask, if they do ask then I tell them the truth, just as I've posted here. No one has ever walked out on me. Not even once.

Ok, no, I think it's pretty obvious what I'd do. I'd suggest that any girl who wouldn't do the same should probably seek other employment.

Just make sure and do your research on the provider you picked via escort review sites. To be honest our services are so in demand that providing bad service generally wont get written about, and even if it does a lot of guys don't check the review sites so you can get by just fine even with a "known" reputation as being a less then stellar provider all the way down to a complete rip off.
