its not about the facts... its about the agenda of the US
we don't outright ban aspirin because some dipshit goes braindead after railing 20 pills
the same applies to everything that is "potentially" dangerous ....some mental girl jumps off a ledge on shrooms, how dare the parents blame the mushrooms.... its shame.... this case really biolls my blood
every drug sold at the local streetcorner pharmacy has a list of possible side effects and brief overview of the effects and proper usage..... if the user is not responsible than any death resulting therafter lies solely with the user....period
sadly... dutch politicians have been bought and are kept nice and pacified in the pockets of american right....... no respect left for your sorry asses
bye bye tourism..... bye bye
It has nothing to do with the French goverment or the parents of the French girl who jumped from the viaduct, and it certainly has nothing to do with America. The reason it was banned was due the pressure of the media and a large part of the Dutch citizens.

Doesn't effect me. Good for Amsterdam in joining the century.
Are you kidding me? Bye tourism for placing psilocybin mushrooms as controlled?
Who gives a shit in all honesty? It effects probably 1% of the people here, even then only in their dreams.
It does effect me, as well as a lot of other people from the Netherlands, as well as other members of BL who like to go to the Netherlands and enjoy a portion of shrooms here. You dumb ignorant fuck. When I did shrooms I always bought them at a smartshop, I didn't dream about it, dumbass. Ow well, I still have the comfort of knowing you live in a country where you'll practically get executed if your caught in possesion of drugs, while I don't.

ah that's horrible that's one of my main attractions to going! Go get some mexican cubensis, and go to Holland Cow's 3d movies, they have 3d alien attacks with moving chairs that go with the 3d adventure and on shrooms, wow, omfg
They also sell DMT there last time I went, I know they used to sell 2cb at smart shops and other RCs but I don't know it;s been 2 years since I've last lived there.
theyre prob still be a way, they have a place, I can't remember the streeet but they put shrooms ground up and put into hershey like candy bars that u can break off into pieces and one just one, gets 2 people FUCKED and is only around 15 euros or so, I bet that will still be available, oh, and they had skunk weed ground into chocolate, omfg, so good, and the space cakes, oh shit
a sad sad day.
They used to sell a Acacia(DMT containing herb) extract , but because it was a DMT containing preperation instead of a unprepared natural product, it was a offendment of the Opium law, so they did a huge bust on all smartshops in the Netherlands, all the Acacia extract was seized and some smartshops were closed for good due to vialation of the law. You can't get it anywhere anymore now. The era of selling psychedelic RC's at smartshops has been an even longer while ago, a decade or so since it was put on list 1. The only RC which has been sold in smartshops in the recent while was methylone, but has also been banned now.

Why was a 17 year old GIRL sold mushrooms to begin with?
Cannabis is 18+, so why was'nt any ID asked for when the mushrooms were sold? Or are'nt there any age restrictions on mushrooms?
If not, then that's pretty bloody stupid and probably should be banned then.
You don't need a license to start a smartshop, or sell those products, that's why a lot of tourist shops also sell shrooms and why there isn't always age restriction on selling those products. Official smartshops take much more care in selling it, giving instructions and often only selling it to 18+ people. Unfortunenately the tourist shops are only out on making money, and sell it to anyone, and often don't have any knowledge of their products either. This is indeed a very dangerous thing, which should have been regulated from the start, instead the goverment still isn't doing anything against it. The sail of mushrooms by shops lacking expertise should be banned, not the sail of shrooms themselves.

There was an article in the New York Times a year or so ago stating that many people who were born in Holland were leaving because they didn't like all the immigrants. (I disliked the ones from Africa 'cause they were rude and selling bad drugs.)
The government is giving videos to all immigrants showing prostitutes and gay men telling them they must accept this in their society.
When I was there (and in London) I offended at least 5 Moslems 'cause of my prostitution and transsexualism.
You actually believe that? There certainly aren't many people leaving the Netherlands, they are much better of here than in practically any other country.

do the dutch hate americans
because i dont hate the dutch
Yeah, a lot of them do, the things we see in the media about th US(The war of terror, bombing innocent people, their conservative christian goverment and often their ignorance), and ofcourse people like "center" don't make a nice image. I'm sorry for people like you who aren't broadminded and selfish and are the victim of fellow countrymen, but that's just generally the image we have of the US because of the rotten apples. If you are still going to visit the Netherlands though, I'm delighted you give you a nice stay here, and show you around and stuff. In that case PM me.

Just pikem urselves if ya really want them. I wonder if you can sue a company after having a bad trip? Reguardless i will never have shrooms again. Last time i was curled up in a fetal ball holding my nuts breathing heavily waiting for it to end. Haha good times.
You can sue them, but it will result in nothing. We don't have that claim culture in the Netherlands fortunenately. If you plan on doing mushrooms than it's your own obligation to prepare for it as well as possible, and so you should know that it can turn out mentally nasty.
