Well done on getting a job mate, it's hard to get back into work once you been out of work for a while!
 
my doctor advised me to stay out of bright sunlight because I'm on olanzapine, I haven't taken any notice, but I don't burn anyway!
 
the nurses at the clinic i was in at the time. they also gave me the excellent tip of using standard burns cream instead of aftersun. you really wonder how they get away with letting their patients get so badly burned......

the only thing i can find online is this which isn't very satisfactory as it doesn't link to any research. i don't really know the correct search terms, with a bit of luck effie will come on here and confirm/disconfirm (thinking about it i could have misunderstood, i wasn't in my right mind at the time). also this mentions photosensitising drugs then has benzodiazepines in brackets. xanax is mentioned on here, at the time i got badly burned i was on clonazepam daily, which isn't on there, 10 drops, however much that is, 3 times a day, plus extra if i was naughty, if that helps at all. i was also on sertraline.

Yeah, me too, posted it in the snoo thread but was ignored, so posting it in here too :)

Been back in Cambridge about an hour now.

Was offered the job in Brizzle earlier today though, I have provisionally accepted it, just need my references and occy health and CRB to go through and I will be a brizzler in no time =D

j/k well done, and slaughter. I got a phone call too today about work so that makes three of us! Thank fuck as I've spent the last two months in an orgy of self-indulgence and aimless depravity.

Looking forward to my day off work tomorrow. I'm taking my ex / best friend / unpaid carer for a walk in the hills that I lived in the shadow of for a while as a child. It was by no means an idyllic childhood, but rose-tinted retrospect makes me focus on the good bits, and this was one.

It's a hill from which (on a clear day) you can see six separate counties and it's never really left my memory or my affections despite having been shunted around countless times since then. Hopefully the weather will be kind. Fingers crossed.

EDIT: Knockando too! This is all good stuff.

Fair Play to you th3 s1aught3r!!! It ain't easy finding work anywhere in Ireland at the moment!! The place is falling apart around us!! You must be very good at the type of work that you do, coz there are always gang loads of people going for every one job available!! Did you hear about the bloke that put an ad up on a massive billboard looking for work? He had a photo of himself looking out to sea, & the poster said something like 'save me from having to emigrate by giving me a job!' & he had his E~mail address on it! I think the ad cost him around two & a half grand!! The story was all over the papers! Apparently he got a load of job offers from it! So anyway best of luck to you with the new job!!! :)

I live in Dublin & i had been months out of work since the place that i had worked in closed down. But luckily i picked up a new job a while ago, not coz i was good at the job, it was a real case of being in the right place at the right time! Its not the greatest of jobs, but it pays the rent & keeps me sane! & i'm very glad of it!

& Mugs got a job as well, congrats to you too! :) I remember reading that you were unsure about moving to a new town for a new job! It sounds like a great adventure!! Best of luck with it!!

What happened to earning as much as possible for your travelling ventures?
 
^Thanks :) They have agreed to match the pay that I am on now even though it would be in the lower band, so I wouldn't be losing out that way. Might also save money from just hanging out with people rather than spending needless money on drugs to do alone and poker too.

I did hear of the bloke who put up a billboard campaign to find a job, fair play to him. Not surprised he ended up getting a job in marketing, lol

And yes it is tough in Ireland to find work at the moment, but we have a crowd of corrupt politicians and bankers to thank for that. I only hope we have all learned a lesson but I fear maybe not

I don't know what they're on about saying it was surreal, it was fucking incredible but just a standard hip hop gig except a bit more hype, the whole crowd was going fucking mad. Even though RZA, Inspectah Deck & Raekwon all shat out (it's kind of expected at a Wu gig that half of them won't show up), Method Man fucking ran the show. Near enough jumped right on top of me during the first song. He was right in the middle of the crowd another 3 or 4 times during the gig.

They did give a shout out to all the people on the balcony, basically taking the piss out them for not being right down the front going mental. They were spraying champagne into the crowd & launching bottles of water (my mate caught one & smuggled it out, then I drank it all because I was nearly dying at the end).

Bought a t-shirt for £30, clear rip off but I wasn't giving a fuck. It was a fantastic gig, probably better than when I saw them in Glasgow. That HMV Picturehouse in Edinburgh is quite a good venue.

What a fucking night. Time to scran this sandwich I've just made, roll a joint, eat some blues & have a mighty sleep before a pointless 2.5 hour shift at work the mora.
