Yeah "she's 85 deaf, blind and half-dottled", AND, she didn't even think to mention to her family that she was having major works done on her home to the tune of 7 grand.

I really reckon Trading Standards, or maybe try Citizens Advice Bureau (do they exist in Scotland, maybe under another name) will be able to get you out of this one.

She's 85 :(

Cunts should be shot really.

Fucking outrageous, but if your gran's got all her marbles.

Hmmm it's debatable whether she does or not. She seems alright sometimes but for a while she was convinced the police or someone else were spying on her flat by accident because they thought a drug dealer lived there. She used to bang on how she saw them hiding out in the bank across the road at night and knocking on her door. She can't see 2 yards in front of her so how she saw all the way from her flat across the road and into the bank is beyond me. None of the rest us could see that far. :\

Haha, as daft as it sounds, pretty much. I thought he was from whatever energy company I was already with & was hooking me up with a better deal. That's the way he pitched it & it was my day off, I'd been doing nothing but lying on the couch smoking weed all day. I even had to lift the rolling tray off the other couch so he could get a seat haha. There was a joint still smoking away in the ash tray. I got totally suckered in by his sales pitch that doesn't sound like a sales pitch patter until about 30 seconds after I'd closed the door.

We had a boy come round our flat a few years back and bang on about the same thing. He comes in read the meter and says tells me we can save 25%. I thought "this sounds like a good deal, anything to save money" and gave him the go ahead, wasn't till about 30mins later I realised we didn't pay gas or electricy. No one had ever sent us a bill and we never knew our supplier. Did the same, phoned up and cancelled it. Never paid gas or electricity in that flat.

ISpade: I'd phone the company and explain that you wish to rearrange the installation date. This will at the very least buy you some time to seek legal advice (or as has been suggested, speak to Trading Standards or the local Citizen's Advice Bureau).

Might be a good idea, will try and ring them tomorrow before work. Cheers!
