Really its all about the vibe at the rave. If its just a bunch of high school kids going to get trashed off ecstasy than its not really a friendly environment. Throw in an older crowd on alcohol and the mix gets real bad.Especially at the massives.
Smaller more controlled gatherings are usually better for meeting random strangers.
It would also be cool to see more 18+ limits at these type of events. I think that would weave out a lot of the trouble makers.
Fuck 18+. I dunno about LA but on the east coast, without the younger generation nothing you'd want to call a 'rave' ever turns out to be particularly fun.
CALLED IT! I hate to say I told you so but... :D
All insomniac events across the United States will now be 18+.

"Effective immediately, Insomniac has also established an “18 and older” policy for all of the company’s dance music festivals until such time as Insomniac implements IAG’s recommended standard operating procedures. Insomniac has purchased handheld ID scanners, which will be used at all future “18 and older” Insomniac events. Insomniac will refund the full ticket price to anyone under the age of 18 who has already purchased
tickets to upcoming Insomniac dance music festivals. Ticketholders under the age of 18 can send an email to [email protected] detailing their name, phone number and the
name of the event and outlet where they bought the ticket
(e.g. Ticketmaster, GrooveTickets, or retail store)."
So now that the children are gone we can have a real party without narrow minded cliche highschool kids dying on us and starting riots
Hope mommy has other activities planned for all you 18 unders.
