Philadelphia at Pittsburgh
NY Rangers at Washington
Carolina at New Jersey
St. Louis at Vancouver

going to the bar near by to watch my rangers
big day tomorrow...it starts!!!!
 
do you think that there is more probably more Ranger fans in Ft. Lauderdale than Panther fans? With all the NY transplants and all....

as far as this series goes: you couldnt find 2 teams that are so different.

yeah that'll be a good one; and they're showing Game 1 on Versus too. (btw, does everyone in the country get the same Versus games?)

dissapointing game 1 for the Caps. Should have been 4-2 (questionable penalty before Caps final goal) I take back my Caps in 5 prediction. :(
and the Rangers Dubinsky, who scored the winning goal, showed up to the arena at 5:30, wayyyyyyy late. Good thing they didn't bench him.

Avery barely played but that was smart cuz he would probably be in the penalty box the whole game. I knew Ovechkin would score I hate him, but i love him lol
they played a tough game, this is how the rangers shouldve played the whole season but it happens, especially when you get stuck with a coach who doesnt care
and Antropov is definitely starting to stand out.

do Ranger fans really hate Wade Redden? The local commentators were talking about how he gets heckled alot at MSG

im not sure, i mean our defense is pretty weak and he does have a lot of errors but we make that up in our offense. But I could see why people would give him crap at MSG. dont fuck with NY
OH and Drury didnt play tonight due to injury :(
 
i hate to say it, but i think the reason dubinsky didn't get benched is cause it's the playoffs. if it were the regular season, i bet he'd have been benched. that's just MY opinion though, i don't know much about how tortorella's wheels turn. as far as avery goes, i can't see him getting a ton of minutes early in the series (though you might know better, i don't watch too many NYR games), but i bet as tempers get going, they'll play him more just to tip the scales. with the exception of the brodeur incident, he seems like he tones it down a bit come playoff time, but it's a known fact that him and brodeur have some bad blood so you gotta figure part of that was a personal thing. :D

i'm not really surprised the penguins won, but i AM kind of surprised they only gave up 1 goal. and it looks like malkin's gonna show up this year. he was a no show last year.

i'm reelin for the CBJ/DET game tomorrow. i get off work at 4:30, headin to my buddy's house... shit's gettin crazy! i know it's partly bias, but i can see cbj winning the series if they stick to their game. they have a GREAT keeper obviously, good solid defense, and so long as everyone shows up... the offense COULD be scary. the only concern is the power play. if they don't take advantage of those opportunities, it's not gonna be good. obviously the wings have all that shit too, BUT their net minding has been sub par all season. i'm hoping osgood doesn't show. :D
 
wow... i just saw dubinsky's goal... that was pretty!

ovechkin didn't get a goal though. he had two assists. both times that it looked like he scored he didn't. fleischman tipped his first shot and brooks laich netted the second one.

i dont think tortorella is going to let avery get out of hand, we cant afford it. and i agree with you about dubinsky and the playoffs. tbh i was very shocked that the rangers won today, they had an on/off season so they got lucky, hopefully they wont get cocky again

vancouver is winning 1-0 in the second period

I'm hoping the Sharks take the cup this year.. so many past disappointing playoff appearances.. became a Sharks fan when they entered the league and the North Stars went to Dallas..

god damn it i'm so fucking excited about tonight!!!

one down side, i was supposed to play soccer tonight, but i HATE watching the game NOT live... so i decided to skip out on soccer so i could watch the first ever jackets playoff game live with my buddy and his wife. after i solidified plans to do so... his wife's mom dragged her into going to a jewelry party that doesn't fucking start until 7pm, aka, game time. so i canceled out on soccer for no damn reason!

i feel like watching it tivo'd is depleting it's value. :(

You should have just gone to your soccer game. My Wings are getting an extra year with the cup. The jackets may win a game, but its doubful. So I'll just get the broom out now
