๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ Social ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ Gibberings ver. CCXIX - "what's new, c*nty chops?"

Heh, a bonus appearance by Alan Price there I do believe.

We all need a dancing bear in our lives, or even in the house of the rising sun...

I can't believe that Eric Burdon was only 16 when this was recorded. Puts all modern 'singers' to shame.

What's often neglected is the superb B side of 'Oh Well'

Other people seeing embedded captias for all these videos?

.....What Orwell feared were those who would ban books. What Huxley feared was that there would be no reason to ban a book, for there would be no one who wanted to read one. Orwell feared those who would deprive us of information. Huxley feared those who would give us so much that we would be reduced to passivity and egoism. Orwell feared that the truth would be concealed from us. Huxley feared that the truth would be drowned in a sea of irrelevance.

I love a good dystopia.

I still find of kind of ironic that while Huxley feared the population being rendered more emotionless and more unthinking by being forced to regularly consume a fictional version of a drug named Soma, (especially whenever anyone had any strong emotions,) which appeared to be very benzo-like in its effects, many members of EADD, myself included, voluntarily drug themselves with such substances.

In some respects that vision of Huxley's doesn't seeem like such a bad thing to me, although ofcourse the reasons behind the usage are the crucial factor, whether it's relief from whatever is ailing the person, or just escapism, or hedonism, is a very different thing, compared to drugs being used on a population for political purposes to keep them docile and unquestioning.

You know Huxley was a member of The American Eugenics Society?

Soma could be many things such as Facebook, Tiktok, Instagram, TOWIE or some RC from China.

Soma is actually a Sanskrit word and is a real substance the body releases in very deep states of Samadhi and Kundalini Yoga.

Huxley spent time in India so I'm sure he came across the Kundalini Yogi's and Sanyasi Holy men.

I think my eldest kid has the makings of a food critic

Someone left this outside a house just up the street, it was just sitting there for some reason?
I felt it would be sad sitting in the cold and all alone so I had to bring it into a warm home and take care of it.

That's someone's piss bottle mate.

Still, probably won't taste much different...

I hope it's Lambrini and not urine in it.

It's not piss, I was worried it would be too. It's not the best wine ever though.

Rolled a big cigar sized spliff which I just lit and can feel it already.

I'm obsessed with Raye, saw her on BBC at Royal Albert hall and she's amazing. The voice of an angel and is PERFECT looking, she's so fucking hot. Playing this right now.
