@ Help!?!- Do you work as an auto mechanic or something? It seems to me scrubbing so hard as to cause bleeding would set you up for more dirt, and germs, to accumulate on your skin, and possibly inside your body. Staph isn't fun. I got it once when I was using exfoliating gloves on my body (for whatever beautiful reason).

Lately, once every two days is average. I do feel a little greasier but in the new apartment I moved into, the bathtub was painted wrong (or cheap paint was used) and smelled like paint any time I would shower, so I got a gym membership just to shower, and didnt feel like going every day.
I think the paint has finally dried/off-gassed enough as I've been showering at home more and don't notice the smell. But, I'm accustomed now to every two days.
Showering can also be a source of toxic exposure... As some of the stuff in water that is worried about, such as chlorine, is better absorbed through skin. So showering less may be good.
