^That shows dedication you must have a nice garden.

I shower every day, once in morning an once in late evening.

How is 60 gallons/ ~228L per person a day rationing? 8o I don't think I'll even hit 100 liter/~26 gallon a day if I tried..

For most of my life, if I’ve thought at all about the bacteria living on my skin, it has been while trying to scrub them away. But recently I spent four weeks rubbing them in. I was Subject 26 in testing a living bacterial skin tonic, developed by AOBiome, a biotech start-up in Cambridge, Mass. The tonic looks, feels and tastes like water, but each spray bottle of AO+ Refreshing Cosmetic Mist contains billions of cultivated Nitrosomonas eutropha, an ammonia-oxidizing bacteria (AOB) that is most commonly found in dirt and untreated water. AOBiome scientists hypothesize that it once lived happily on us too — before we started washing it away with soap and shampoo — acting as a built-in cleanser, deodorant, anti-inflammatory and immune booster by feeding on the ammonia in our sweat and converting it into nitrite and nitric oxide.

I don't shower, but once a day, I take a bath in the icy stream fed by snowmelt that's on the property. That or I bath in the horses' watering trough which is fed by the same stream, but at least it's a little warmer. I'm living off the grid (mostly), and don't have indoor plumbing.
 
I think this thread is a poor representation of how many times most people actually shower. The people who shower the most often are the most comfortable sharing their shower stats. And the people who shower much less frequently are much less willing to share.

I'm not gonna say how often I shower. :|
 
Why couldn't you be comfortable sharing how often you shower, it's a healthy daily routine. Everyone should have access to washing facilities and should do it every day, there shouldn't be any embarrassment about it.

Do you have a garden or grow any of your own food? If not for that, you are correct that 60 gallons a day is more than enough for a person's personal use. We are several years into this drought however and everything from old trees to established native plants are too stressed to weather the typical rainless months--compounded by record high temperatures.
 
Right when I get up and either after the gym or work. If I don't go to the gym or work that day I will shower again before going to bed. So twice a day.
 
Last time I showed at anywhere buy my place was last July when I went to beach in the hotel. As for another person's shower, probably my Aunt's a few years ago.
 
Ill usually shower once a day. I work construction and after work ima mess especially now that its so fuckin hot out im drenched in sweat so showering is a must.
 
I bathe once a day. I have icthyosis vulgaris, a skin disorder that doesnt allow for my dea skin cells to drop off naturally so I have to exfoliate them off my self. need a hot bath daily. If I am being lazy, I have a shower, mostly in the evenings.

Its not like I sweat in england.

Fair enough, I didn't know you grow your own food. Thumbs up for that :) I do actually grow some herbs on my balcony but I don't have space to grow a lot more.
 
^Yeah well, I still adimre your water usage!:)

Side note: I just got my first water bill since the rationing and it says that we are using 35 gallons per person on average per day. That's with my scant watering so I may be able to water a bit more. After this record drought they are predicting a very wet year next year--crazy weather! I don't think the plants know what to do.
 
Even 35 gallons per day sounds outrageous considering the deep droughts and possibility of water shortages and rationing... I feel guilty for using 2 -3 gallons per day. I counted. Sorry, not tryign to one-up anybody. Please dont' take it that way.
 
when im not using , twice a week would be the least i could shower

I won't stink, especially if you wash your nuts with wetwipes and use babypowder
