Mustard on Hamburgers

Yeah fuck that. How are you gonna not let someone carry around the medicine that they absolutely need with them? I just do not get it.

AAAAAANYWHO, back to mustard you fucking bunch of thread derailing morons ;)

Yeah i always thought that was ridiculous, not being able to carry YOUR OWN medications around with you. We had a couple kids with allergies in grade school but it wasnt a big deal and they handled their own shit with no problem. But either way kids need to learn that life's not fair one way or another and the earlier the better :) . As for the restaurant thing, i think its more for dumb employees than anyone else. My dad and grandmother both have food allergies and a lot of the time when we go out to eat they'll ask if the food has such-and-such ingredient in it and the servers will either not know OR theyll tell you it doesnt and then lo and behold when the food arrives theres the ingredient that you were specifically told was not in it. So im sure someone probably got sued at some point and now everyone else wants to protect themselves. Lawsuits are a powerful motivator. So anyone know somebody with a mustard allergy? (im trying to get back on topic now haha)

I like my burgers with fancy sauce (ketchup + mayo, usually like 70/30 ketchup), a couple pickles (dill, no bread and butter bullshit), lettuce, tomato, and a single slice of cheddar cheese (or American).

mustard, ketchup, a little mayo, onions [raw or grilled], & lettuce on a toasted poppy seed bun.

sauteed shit is good but its just so bad for you. at least with the amount of butter we used where I used to work.

Oh, jell-o, of course! And kool-aid is cordial I'm guessing.

Oh and chinky, we have HP sauce here too, but i don't know anyone who uses it.....
why not, you should cause its great..every little place i went to in england had a bottle of that on the table instead of ketchup and i fell in love with it. when i came home i couldnt find it at all until like 2years ago when they started selling it at the local grocery store..

its a brown sauce thats why i brougth it up and when i try to describe it to people here, iu just cant cause its got a unique taste all its own..i know brits though love it and will basically put it on everything and anythingfrom eggs to steakto salmon..its good shit i recommend people trying it cause its unique and not alot of money, so its no ta big deal if oyu dont like it, you can just throw it away..

Jam>jelly nbd js.

has anyone ever had apple butter? its not really a butter its more like a jam..i used to love it when i was kid and the only place they would have it at was shoneys(yall remember shoneys? lol) but they closed them all up here and then the only other place i could find it was a cracker barrel but now i jutds buy it and i always keep a jar of it next to the smuckers grape and strawberry

Things are like that here too. But if my future kids ever need an epi pen, there's no way that a school is going to take it away from them.
i agree..ill have them keep it in their backpacks and to never take it out inless its an emergency

they just dont want other kids getting their hands on it and taking it and mauyne them getting sick from it or whateve and you know parents now a days..they sue and they do it over he littlest things. thats why a teacher isnt allowed to administer the epipen or give someone his albuterol inhaler or even have tylenol

^ what does the hp in hp sauce stand for? As for apple butter, we always have a bunch of it in the house, my boyfriend and his dad are obsessed with it. My ex best friend loved it too. Personally im all about butter and honey. A toasted english muffin or even a bagel with a light coating of butter and then drizzled over with some nice classic clover honey (its all about that little honey bear yo) is sooooooo good. Man i want that RIGHT NOW.

you knopw i have no idea what HP stands for..i think it was the initials of the guy who made it

google here i come..

EDIT...The original recipe for HP Sauce was invented and developed by Frederick Gibson Garton, a grocer from Nottingham.[5] He registered the name H.P. Sauce in 1895. Garton called the sauce HP because he had heard that a restaurant in the Houses of Parliament had begun serving it.[6] For many years the bottle labels have carried a picture of the Houses of Parliament. Garton sold the recipe and HP brand for the sum of £150 and the settlement of some unpaid bills to Edwin Samson Moore.[6] Moore, the founder of the Midlands Vinegar Company (the forerunner of HP Foods) subsequently launched HP Sauce in 1903.

^ That shit must be really good or either you own stock in that company cause you are all the time talking about it.

I've never heard of it before today. What is it? I mean I know it's a sauce and whatnot but what's it taste like and what is it commonly used on that someone such as myself may have tried it without knowing?

I've never heard of it either but, I looked it up to get an idea

From wiki "HP Sauce has a malt vinegar base, blended with tomato, dates, tamarind extract, sweetener and spices.[3][4] It usually is used as a condiment with hot or cold savoury food, or as an ingredient in soups or stews."

People have compared HP sauce to a vinegary version of ketchup or thick sweet worcestershire sauce

I'll have to try it. I love worcestershire sauce. Lea and Perrins do make a thick version of their worcestershire sauce which is great too fyi.

its like a sweet steak sauce i guess but i like it especially with pork..or chicken

Thanks for the wealth of enlightening info chinky :) that sounds really good... oh man as for obscure sauces that are good as shit, my favorites gotta be mumbo sauce. I think it might just be a dc thing, ive heard that before, but its REALLY good when its made right, id even go as far as AMAZING, and pretty good when its not. Any of you guys heard of/had mumbo sauce or have it where you live?

mmm yes.

mustard, ketchup, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, cheese, mayo.

I'm a freak though and I looove green olives on them.

I dont put franks but theres the hot sauce i have my mom get and its so much better. I fuckin love hot sauce
