The DMT discussion thread

Managed to breakthrough last night on 60mg. Felt my head was going to explode LOL First time in my life that I had trouble breathing that bad, anyone else get that? Was hittin so hard could bearly cope hahaha ahhh fun times:)

Yeah I completely agree. My only other close friend who really enjoys DMT seems to disagree, but I found it's such a profoundly powerful experience that the physical aspect can get really uncomfortable.
I've never had trouble breathing with it, but it just sort of wipes your body out with sheer force and power.

It's like trying to fight a brick wall that's travelling at you at rapid speed, your body just cannot win.

tartaric acid or citric acid you get in a tub in the supermarket nex to the hundreds of thousands, is just as good as HCL!

Hey guys, first post here.
I've read through the thread and have a couple of questions...
Is anyone aware of the alkaloid content percentage of Acacia Acuminata seedlings in comparison to that of a more mature plant of the same species? I am aware that the yield would be significantly lower if someone were to do an extraction however I am trying to weigh up the benefits as I would prefer not to damage a mature plant in the wild and not to mention the difficulty an amateur would have in finding Acuminata out of flowering season.
Also, has anyone had success using plant matter of said flora in an extraction instead of bark?

OMG just had a 50-60mg dose n fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck :D and yes i had remind myself to breath somtimes :p happens on high dose opiates and other things ;) im back on psycs! tripping tomorrow yewww!

ok, I need some help/advice off bluelighters that are familiar with extractions...

Me and a mate of mine have tryed 2 attempts at A/B extractions and unfortunately, both didnt go to plan... everything went fine until the finial steps doin the shelite pulls...

For some unkown, fucked up reason, the shelite we add to the basified solution (300ml of shellite ~ 2 litres of bark tea on first pull) wouldnt fully separate into layers :X pretty much after the third pull, with 1 litre of shelite used in total, we were only able to physically separate 100ml :p

we followed the tek step by step, doin everything perfect but it just wouldnt separate.. anyway, were givin up on the whole A/B teks and gonna give the straight to base teks a shot (dont wanna waste any more precious bark)

soo, can anyone please point me in the direction of a good straight to base tek when using Acacia Acuminata? BTW, we used the 'DMT handbook' tek FYI but yeah, no more attempts with the A/B...

thanks in advance guys :)

EDIT: BTW, thanks for all the respones with the question I asked a month ago regarding the acid.. much appreciated...

DMT does give u near death experiences. Apparently when someone passes away they body releases a huge amount of DMT so its possible to have a sense that you have died or dying. You get disconnected with reality and dont know what is real or not anymore:) Low doses are the way to go.

The man who made that theory up doesn't seem to have a lot of evidence behind it, though. I'm always skeptical as to whether it's responsible for near-death experiences.

yeah, i reckon it's an unfounded urban myth. or...an unconfirmed hypothesis.
a load of bullshit, in other words.

very difficult to conclusively prove though...just bothers me when people state it as fact. it's anything but.

So your saying we should rather believe your theory than a well known scientist? Just because you can't prove things doesn't mean it isnt that way or exists. At this point there isn't much to debate as it could lead in either direction.
We are still looking for an earth like planet that harbours some form of life, just because we havnt found it doesnt mean it doesnt exist! As for the theory itself I believe its a combination of different things that contribute to that near death experience that humans dont quite exactly understand, its a pretty complex subject though and we might not know the real truth for a while but everything is based on evidence so you cannot rule it out.

gonna have to agree with spacejunk on this one.. theres nothin backin that shit up

thanks :)

I highly recommend reading DMT the Spirit Molecule book. Its awesome and will enlighten you. Ever heard of people having near death experiences? Are there similarities between near death experiences and a dmt trip? What they describe is strikingly similar to a full blow DMT trip. Its a naturally occurring chemical in our brain so why would it be so hard to believe that it is released?

Yes, but it's not certainty that DMT is responsible for near-death experiences, especially when near-death experiences which people eagerly claim to have are more than often lies for media attention or to validate their philosophical viewpoint. From what I've read on both near-death experiences and DMT reports, they're hardly identical in terms of experience. Besides, is there even any proof that this chemical naturally occurs in the brain? Sorry if I'm being rude but I have a difficult time believing that near-death experiences, one of the many profound and mysterious occurrences in life, is simply excused by the so-called 'fact' that it's caused by a chemical release in the brain. But then again, I've never tried DMT myself.

It's known that there is endogenous DMT in the brain of humans (among the millions of other places it's found), the link with near-death experiences is not known. I would say it's possible but speculative.

I haven't read every post in this thread so my apologies if I'm misinterpreting this, but I don't see how attributing any psychological experience to a given compound 'excuses' it. The generally accepted scientific view is that all such subjective experiences arise from neurochemical interactions - all our thoughts, memory, emotions, etc. - That doesn't make them any less valid or real.

I'm of the opinion that it's virtually impossible to make informed opinions regarding psychedelics without experiencing them.
