Why do people love shrooms?

I'm sorry you felt harrassed then. :( I just felt like you were suggesting that it was ridiculous of me to have said something, which I disagreed with. No offense to you was meant.

No need to respond

people enjoy them because they give you a ~6 hour window of escaping your own (depressing) reality.

I have tried shrooms 3 times now, the first time was not a full dose..but almost an 8th.

I had visuals (tornados in the middle of the room..galaxies....people coming apart..etc)

Alot of self-realization. (all useless shit though)

and I had begun to question everything and basically tripped out.

The entire them I kept thinking to my self that shrooms is a VERY boring drug..it really has no purpose.

The next day I had a few left..I took them and felt a mild body high and hallucinated a tiny bit.

Recently (3 days ago) I took a full dose at an outdoor rave event, I tripped alot harder, more than ever before. I had Closed eye visuals, Hallucinated like crazy (the clouds were forming into weird shapes and were spinning) I saw my friends melting, I laughed alot (like you always do) etc.......but I couldn't help but keep thinking how boring this drug is.

I guess its just me, but I am never shrooming again;its just not worth the time.
Every trip I have ever had was boring.

So please, tell me; why is it people love shrooms so much?

If you are finding mushrooms boring then your dose is too small. :) Mushrooms can be confusing, unpleasant even nightmarish but the one thing a full blown mushroom trip can never be is boring. Keep trying, going steady is probably the best way, eventually something will just click and you will appreciate the purpose of mushrooms!

Happy travels :)

Well to each his own I suppose. Some peopel just don't like them. I've never once even had a fleeting thought of how boring any trip was. I Love mushrooms. I think that they are: "the spiritual, hero who appears in you to clear your view when you're too crazy. Lifeless, to some the definition for what life is. Priceless..."

I think that some people can can be on the drug, but neglect the magic of it, for those who find it, they usually cherish it. Seeing shit and laughing is not the true psychedelic nature of the drug... they're just some very enjoyable (for some) side-eefects that go along with it.

^^ Amen to that
it's just a part of the experience

I hate this site.

I'M NEVER COMING BACK!

*runs away*

Don't worry, you can hide under my bed covers with me 0.0. Just be sure to leave all clothes behind. :p Seriously though, some people like tweaking, some people like opiates, everyone has there thing. Mushrooms probably just don't fit your personality.

Mushrooms are a weak psychedelic. That i have found you can actually make stronger depending on your mindset.

Let me guess you are an atheist who doesnt believe in Magic and on weekends you enjoy to cry to emo music.

That is why you do not get the full experience from the mushrooms.
Mushrooms are all about HOW you utalize them inside of your mind.

I have been farther on 5 grams of mushrooms than i have been on 20mg of 2c-e.
The only difference is that 5 grams of mushrooms doesnt last anywhere near as long as 20mg of 2c-e.

2c-e can be way more spiritually uplifting... kind of like... the drug that REALLY SHAKES THE SOUL free from all those shackles you put on it in the early years to control your emotions.

If you strongly believe in the spiritual and devine will of the mushrooms you will go alot farther alot harder and actually maybe go from CEV's to those CEV's being on the wall next time you open your eyes...

really the mushroom is only as deep as you are.

If you find it boring... maybe... its time to SHAKE UP YOUR lifestyle

^^ I find it difficult to describe mushrooms as a weak psychedelic. For me they are the single strongest and most intense psychedelic there is, emotionally anyway. Nothing else even holds a candle for me. Mushrooms are the only things I won't take recreationally because it's just too difficult of an experience. However they are also immensely rewarding.

Mushrooms are not just a vacation in the psychedelic playground.

I've experienced nothing but good things from mushrooms.

Have to agree with everyone else; shrooms have always been very intense...and where the hell did that second (putdown??) part come from? Sounds like you're tripping now with that grammar..=D

I like them because they are so unpredictable ;) I've had the most mind blowing experience of my life on 75 grams fresh, and a lot of very introspective trips. I've cried because music has sounded so beautiful and been crashed into the depths of Kierkegaardian despair hours later. My wife on the other hand hates them since she had an incredibly rough first trip. I guess it just depends on your personality type.

I'm not the biggest fan of mushrooms, personally I find them to be a lot darker and more confusing than LSD, which I'll takemuch more casually than I take mushrooms. I find it interesting that a lot of people consider mushrooms to be a more 'gentler' psychedelic, honestly I'd just say that that is flat out wrong, born perhaps of the fact that mushrooms are often more availible, more popular with the rah-rah-rah-party college type crowd, seem less threatennig because they are "natural" (but what does that mean anyway?) and have fewer myths floating around about them than doses. But at the end of the day I suppose it's all subjective. I have a tremendous amount of respect for mushrooms as a useful tool for spiritual/introspective experiences, though, and have had my share of them... but a casual, fun drug for me they have never been.

^ It depends IME - both LSD & mushrooms can shred your ego & terrify the living daylights out of you - it just depends - i'd agree higher dose mushrooms are more frequently unpredictable tho.....thus perhaps, in my case anyway leading to me giving them a tad more respect than i have LSD at times.

i think it also stems from the fact that mushrooms don't last as long. in college i remember a friend of mine would take lsd and then after about 6 hours or so he would decide he didn't feel like tripping anymore and start trying to make himself stop (which never worked of course) and he finally decided he liked mushrooms more even if they were more confusing.
