For some reason I think that alot of peoples preconception towards salvia greatly influences the experience. I have yet to know anyone in person who doesn't enjoy it.
My girlfriend just tried it for the first time, and percieved that she fell through the bed she was laying on, lost all contact with reality and became a member of a tribe, at the time of a ritual (perhaps shamanistic?). She experinced no fear, other than a jolt from the initial falling through the bed thing, and was overjoyed during her percieved ceremony with the tribe.
All I'm saying is is that some of you may have preconceptions that lead to you feeling this fear, and you should try to work on dropping them.
