Why do people do Salvia if its so spooky?

just give it a try u might like it, my first time was kinda spooky too but still alota fun at the same time. what u could do is mix sum salvia with weed. not too much, just enough to make u get reaalllyyy baked, as i think the salvia enhances the weed.

it's spooky because it shows you the Real World. Salvia and other psychedelics are the gateway to the real World. During those15 horrible seconds when you trip, you are shown the ultimate Truth --that the salvia/psychedelic world is the read World, and this earth-world is only a dream and you've been dreaming all this time.. On salvia, you finally wake up and see the true Real World. Where you are then and how you feel in the Real World is the way you've always been and always will be/feel/reside after you die. This truth is so horrible and unbearable that we shut it out of our minds as soon as we come down. After each time you smoke salvia, you're only left with a few fragmented memories of the REal World and a vaguely remembered creepy feeling.
After you Break Through, U SEE and then youknow. Once yuou Know, U CAN NEVER NOT KNOW!

To remind themselves of the sacred, of mystery. To alter their perception of the objective and understand how they fit in. To restore faith that existence will exist. Salvia is highly uncomfortable for me. I look at it as changing a balance and I can withstand the literal vice-like body load to learn what I can from that experience. I understand psychedelics are trivialized as toys for hippies but I think true illumination exists not only from the catalyst itself but from absorbing the experience into your understanding. What you feel is all you truly know. The saying, "Walk a mile in a mans shoes…" you all know how it goes. Nothing is more powerful than the forced physical sensations to allow you to know something new and learn objectivity and rationality.

There seems to be this feeling that rationality is without emotion, without any outlet for the animal instincts that already, though often denied, inherently force many of our unwitting rational minds into action. I've learned to allow rationality feed the best of the necessary emotions.

That is in short what I've learned from experiences like Salvia, Salvia itself and most drugs really. Even something as un-"psychedelic" as Opium lends itself to illuminating different, possibly previously unperceived degrees of Truth. I don't recommend drugs to anyone and Salvia can be physically unpleasant but I really don't even passably regret any experience I've had with Salvia.

A short story… I drank Salvia tea and laid on the floor. My left side contracted mildy. I reached up to feel the perspiration on my forehead once I was able to coerce my arm into motion. I started to strongly experience the crushing wave and I distinctly remember speaking with a women with dark brown hair, dark brown eyes who seemed happy. I've met her before on Salvia and she did not seem happy.

I know some people who would take this as a feminine plant spirit communicating. I know others who think it's an implanted cultural image, subconcious projection of phenotypic images. I tend to think that I'll never really know, but some make more sense because there is direct causality in their explanation of the event.

I guess this is why I do Salvia even though it's spooky.

Peace,
PL

I like the title of this Thread: "Why do people do Salvia if it's so spooky?"

Why do people do Heroin, if it's so addictive?

Why do people shoot Cocaine, if it's so bloody?

Salvia is a true, short-lasting Hallucinogin. Many hallucinogins are easily taken for Recreational purposes. Salvia is less-often used recreationally.

When someone is used to eating a few Mushrooms once in a while, just for kicks, he is pretty casual about it all. Salvia is a bit more Spiritual in nature. Therefore, it can be spooky (after all, Spiritual stuff IS spooky).

I totally agree with the beginner of this topic that salvia is spooky. That's exactly why I like it; it doesn't give you an easy ride with nice visuals and euphoria, but rather insight through hard ride. Very much akin to DXM in style for me, and that's exactly why I like both leagues more than any other substance I have tried.

People say that salvia is an experience. That's intriguing for many otheres to try it, but hardly anyone really makes a habbit of using it regularly. It's interesting once in awhile if you want to completely shatter your perception of reality.

I just realised I hate salvia. I lose all control. I forget how to talk, I forget everything. Everything gets soo fucked up. All inanimate objects start talking to me. Last time I smoked It I grabbed ahold of this girl because I forgot how to walk, next thing I know my hand is down her pants, and shes screaming at me. I didnt even know I was doing that. Ugh! Its EVIL EVIL EVIL. lol.

That happend to me before, but to be fair she was singing that old bloodhound gang song "put your hand down my pants and I bet you'll feel nuts" and she didn't end up screaming ;) But I did just automatically put my hand down her pants.

I do it because it is a very intense trip into what your minds capable of doing if its done right. Yes it may be "scary" but when its all over and done with your like damn, i lived through it and i can't believe what a rush it was. Its kind of like going on a scary ass rollercoaster only to come out happy and content in the end. Yeah it was "scary" but now that its over you can reflect on the madness you just went through.

I think a better word for it is 'shocking.' The reason I tried salvia is because I thought it would be awesome to become an inanimate object and possibly have spiritual revelations. I always read about drug experiences and think that I could handle them easily, but then I am the one having a bad trip and lose my naïveté. Salvia is by far the most intense drug I have ever done. Reality as I knew it and my ego just completely disappeared with absolutely no transition. I was holding the smoke in my lungs and suddenly I notice that I'm in this strange new reality with no idea how long I've been there. It was just an infinite loop of my shades flapping against the window (though very distorted and psychedelic) synchronized with the sound of the frogs outside, though to me it sounded like a loud crunching sound. Oh my God, this is all there is to reality, I realized. I tried to escape and get away, but it's pretty damn hard when you don't have a body. I was confronted with a few other psychological thoughts that scared me, so I just avoided them. I realize that such a response is not desirable, but maybe that is one thing I can learn from the experience.

Salvi is only spooky for those not prepared. Make sure you are in a solid state mentally. Not something to be taken lightly. The first time i tried it, I had no effect. So the next time, I was anxious and a little irrate from the first time, which led to a very frightening trip. Now I know better....soft tunes, soft cushions, soft light. No bad feelings...ya dig?

I believe it was redgreenvines who said it best, not sure if it was here or on Lycaeum- It's for affirmation of the unlimited.

I was absolutely scared shitless the first time I tried it, but it showed me the depth of the human mind, and it's ability to tune into completely other stuff beyond our conventional perspective.

i think it's very very interesting, not only to do myself but to give to other people and talk to them about their experience afterwards

i don`t know if its scary...but its something i really respect!! i dont have much experience but so far the trips are very strong! the first time ive tried leaves it gave me some sort of a trip too

It isn't something to be used lightly, like cannabis - you should never smoke it while driving etc the way some people do with ganja.

Also it shouldn't really be used with other full on psychedelics like LSD, psilocybin etc without trying it on it's own first (and then with extreme caution).

Seen a couple of people smoke it on top of mushrooms and completely lose the plot in a major way for several hours (not a good thing to actually have to experience with a head full of 2C-E)

It can be scary as shit, but I'm a thrill seeker and I think that's why I like it. I've never gotten such a powerful trip from anything else. The second time I did Salvia was much more enjoyable than the first time, as I knew at least somewhat to expect (although I suppose you can never know entirely).
