I love gangster stuff but still havnt seen all of Means streets, gpnna have to check that out

Think the first gangster thing i saw was Goodfellas, absolutely love that film. American gangster isnt far off it either. casino then the sopranos, blow, donnie brasco

I like the Mexican Cartel gangster films, like Sin Nombre and Man On Fire, both absolutrely fucking awesome films. Sin Nombre is about the gangs in the slums and Man On Fire is about the kidnapping racket that goes on over there.

Fucking gutted that more or less the same week i discover 'Alaska, The Last Frontier' and how much i like it, they stop broadcasting it. Presumably it will be repeated or there will be another series. It takes the stuff Bear Grylls does to a whole new level, he's just about surviving in the wilderness for a few days, these guys are all about surviving it and enjoying it for a lifetime, being entirely self-sufficient up there.

One of the families being featured are the second and third generation of settlers/homesteaders. The original guy was a huge burly giant of a man and he bought a patch of wilderness that he liked the look of and started literally carving out a life for himself up there. He moved there from Switzerland to escape the second world war, as he was smart enough to know it was coming before most other people realised and got called up. The second and 3rd generations are steadily improving their conditions up there in The Last Frontier.

Mean Streets was made in the 70s. It must have been at least the 90s before I first saw it. I've never thought of it as "dated" other than the fact that it's obviously an old movie.

True Detective is shit hot. What's happened to Matthew McConaughey? Between that and Dallas Buyers Club he's certainly pulled the finger out acting wise.

Cheers mate :) uploading a better version, gonna stick it up when its uploaded. has the shootout and a few extra montage cooking bits

Heres the new version with added bits, lemme know what you think

Yeh, it's still awesome, but I didn't see any extra bits - certainly no shoot out, are you sure you put the correct link up? What's the soundtrack, was that from the series? Also, what software did you use for the editing? You're bloody good at this sort of thing mate :)

Pretty fucking awesome tribute Dan. It always tickles me in the right places when scenes change in time with the music.

whats happened to the link Dan ? It's gone dead/black now ? I didnt get round to watching it.

Cheers dude, theres some extra bits but theyre subtle, i tried adding the shootout but the video got blocked worldwide due to copyright so had to take it down which was a bit shite. The song is spindrift - speak to the wind, not featured in breaking bad. Windows movie maker for editing, its shit, its like using windows paint compared to photoshop or something but does what i need it to do

Got some other vids in progress. made this years ago, nearly 100k views, n made quite a few others

Human Traffic Clips - Born Slippy

Weird, why do ya think adding the shootout caused copyright issues but the rest of it didn't? Anyway, keep up the good work man - looking forward to seeing some more! I certainly didn't realise Windows movie maker was capable of this sort of thing...

Facial recognition from the shootout scene i think, theyve got some clever ways to detect copyright, no idea why the other stuff doesnt get flagged and blocked. and with music i used to be able to bypass copyright by up or down pitching tracks by a certain amount, it even picks up on that now. and i chopped up this trippy vid the other day and stuck some trippy footage from something else with the audio muted and it somehow picked up on it, fuck knows how

Its capable of it, the main pain in the ass is loading the files into movie maker, it doesnt support MP4 so i have to fuck around and covert everything to avi

Work in progress, i love philisophical speeches, so slapping em together

Speech - In prog

Have you monetized your videos?

Edit; also download After Effects and dedicate a day to learning the basics from tutorials. Infinitely better than movie maker.

can you just post the link to your BB tribute Dan ? My pc is fucked, and all embedded links are blacked out. :\
