What'd you do to get off your butt today? v. "That's not real exercise!"

Goals are great to work towards, but right now with work, study, the household and the baby i'm content if i can just maintain the gains i've made in the last 12 months. That and i've already built up a great momentum. attempt4, you're so right about the hard part is starting. PI, that sounds like my wife, if i'm antsy from not going to the gym, she tells me to vacuum :|

I used to train at my parent's place, had a basic bench set up, a bar and some dumbells. I live in a city complex with fairly new gym equipment in it, have lived in such a place for several years, however i find i get significantly greater outcomes in a proper gym. The combination of free weight (predominantly) and various machines, and occasional bodypump class works a charm for me. I only wished it had a boxing/kickboxing section. Oh well, i have a heavy bag up on my balcony and summer's coming =D

speaking of bodypump, you can find video classes online if you know how to dig.
 
Does moving into a new place on the 3rd floor count as exercise? If so, then yes. I know that I've been dripping sweat the whole time. That's what I've been doing for 2 days.

today's lunchtime gym hit my back, lats and bis. standard group, bit more in the routine than last time. progressing.
 
I don't like to carry anything but the remote to open my car.
I drink water when I get back. I don't find I am very thirsty.

db press 110s 10 x 3
incline db fly 40s for 10, 50s for 10, 60s for 9
incline db press 90s 10 x 3

hammer strength incline 2 45s and a 25 each side 10 x 3
cable crossovers 4 sets of 15 from the top 4 from the middle and 4 from the bottom

today i did chest, shoulders and tris... nothing like the real madman above, but let's see if i remember what i did at lunch:
started on the flat bench with a 20kg plate on each side (do you count the bar weight? if so add another 20 i think). Did a set of 15 and then 10 plus 5 bottom half only reps. Added 5kgs to each side and polished another couple of set of 10.
then on an inclined bench used two 22kg dumbells for 3 x 10 chest pressy thingos.
the i sat the bench straight up and did shoulder presses straight up with two 16kg dumbells only could manage 2 sets of around 8, in between i'd use two 6kg dumbells to lift my straight arms to shoulder height sideways (x 5) and then forward (x 5) then combine both (x 5), then a set of 20 dips. on my third round reduced from 16kgs to 14 and did a set of 10 (along with those others for a third time).
then hit the pec "fly" pully machine. did 85kgs x 10 x 2, and then a drop set dropping 5kgs at a time until exhaustion with no break down to 20kgs.
finally did some more tricep stuff on both a seated machine where you push straight down (85kgs) and then a couple of sets on the rope pull down pulley machine (i think around 23kgs x 10 then around 28kgs x 8 ).

all of this done within 35 mins

for a good 15-20 mins when i got back to work my endorphins made me talk like i was high. total raspy voice.
 
Saturday I biked about ten miles and walked a couple. Sunday I walked a mile or two and carried a bag filled with apples for some of it (went apple picking :D). Monday I did nothing on account of fasting 5a-6p. Today, I'll be walking up and down numerous flights of stairs--Hopefully that goes halfway decent on account of not eating. :-/
 
was feelin blue and no one else was around so during my last half hour at work i did 5 x 20 push ups and 5 x 20 dips (hand on desk, feet on chair).
 
40 minutes on the treadmill
100 crunches
100 leg raises
Deadlift
Cable rows
Lat pulldowns
T-bar rows
Negative t-bar rows
Wide grip preacher curl
Close grip preacher curl
Incline dumbbell curl
Concentration curl
20 minutes on the elliptical
 
ran another 40 mins, got to around 7.3kms. this time steady jog for 10 minutes then short sprints the rest of the time 15kph (2 mins) and 6kph (3mins) x 6.
 
40 minutes on the treadmill
100 crunches
100 leg raises
Squats
Leg press
Leg extensions
Leg curls
Barbell Lunges
I did 100 reps on some ab/oblique machine that you twist side to side, idk what you call it
20 minutes on the elliptical
