🌟🌟 Social 🌟🌟 What TV Shows are You Binging v. Cut That Cord!

i raced through 3 seasons of ted lasso.

it was a bit sentimental in places but not annoyingly so.

great ensemble cast, good writing and a fun plot. i thoroughly enjoyed it.

i tried watching ted lasso...couldnt get into it. when i had a apple tv trial i watched "Foundation" very wild & wierd, loved it. also SILO,& dark matter.
right now im watching "day of the jackel"

Im currently watching christmas specials of old bbc shows. So far ive watched 2 episodes of are you being served. For some reason the xmas specials of these old bbc shows are hard to track down. Alot of them are not up on the usual sites

^ man those old uk shows really haven't aged very well...

i'm a huge fan of peep show and love matt king's character, superhans.

i stumbled across spirited recently and really enjoyed it. he was perfect for the part. i binged 2 seasons i no time.

Depends on the show. think the young ones and Bottom with Rik Mayall have aged rather well. The young ones would be applicable today with Rik always ranting on about Thatcher lol.

Have you ever seen Heil Honey im home? Like how the fuck did they ever get the cash to make that shit?

oh sure. i think of shows like 'are you being served' and 'the young ones' very differently.

i was watching the former when i was 8 or 10 years old - and mrs. slocombe's pussy was hilarious - and the latter when i was in my late teens.

i was living in the u.k. in 1990 and had never heard of 'heil honey i'm home' but it looks absolutely awful...

Binge watching Better Call Saul. I never finished the last two seasons, but starting from the beginning because that's just how I roll.

Rewatching Breaking Bad next!

OK, not a fan of "disaster movies" at all, but due to "stimulus" online in various forms I decided to watch

Fallout - Goggins was the main "lure" in my head for this one.

I did look away from the screen alot ( would do it again if I had to ), personal preference as you cannot "unsee" what has been seen.
This didn't and hasn't effected experience, but could have in a negative way.

So Fallout. Great production all round, never played the game but saw the reviews from gamers and a few posts on BL and decided "go for it" as gamers are the most critical critics......................... Blue Lighters are worse..

only joking.

It was well worth it. (Fallout)

Now - due to similar but different "stimulus" ( see earlier post about hohzo etc ) .... I am on episode 4 of The Last of Us.

These were two on my "must see" list but near the bottom due to the genre.

Glad I have stuck it out so far and - sigh...... I am looking away from the screen a lot in The Last of Us 👶👶

Will update when finished and hope not to get "bitten" buy this genre any time soon again. ( yeah yeah pun intended ).

Only regret is I didn't tackle these two sooner.

2025 we start fresh again.

Dark 2017-2020 dear Lord above, this is the best TV show I've EVER watched. From the cinamatography, complex plot, the messed up family tree, etc. It just rocks. Off to write some fanfic, so what if it's not got folks writing for it. 🖤

lioness?

what did you think? i am halfway through s02 and i'm really enjoying it. quite the cast.

i just wrapped s02 of sas: rogue heroes and loved it. it was easily as good as s01.

i also finished s01 and s02 of wolf hall. such an interesting period of history and it was great to see it primarily from cromwell's perspective. mark rylance was great.

Loved Lioness, can’t wait for another season. Rogue Hero’s looks interesting, I’ll definitely give it a watch, thanks.

Channel 71 free view. Shows loads of video clips of 60s & 70s bands. Ideal for wandering around the house, doing work (of course this mostly applies to old cunts like me, who were born in the 1960s). Lots of opportunities to have a sit down and enjoy old, old clips!
