What new (or old) game do you love?

Shenmue, Powerstone and Sonic Adventures were the only good games the dreamcast had :/

How can you not include Rez! (as I mention in pretty much every game thread on here heh).

Ikaruga was also good, if a bit hard. And Chu-Chu Rocket! I seem to remember playing Dance Dance Revolution with the dance mat a fair bit too... :|

Edit: and what about Jet Set Radio! There were so many good Dreamcast games :)

Ever play Chu-Chu Rocket? That shit was ace on stims. Ace and soul destroying.

yes! i actually played this online as i think it was the first dreamcast enabled online game. i think i got it free too. i know i had sonic adventure with the console but for some reason im thinking i got chu chu rocket free by sending my details online. you could custom makle your own puzzles too and name them. the sound and fx were quite sega ish if i remmeber too

Ah Shenmue..

Oh yeah and that House of Dead 2 with the light gun.
i never got powerstone but i remember it getting 10/10 reviews. sonic adventure was probably the best sonic game made imo. the 360 unleashed game ive got is just pants in comparison

oh yeah jsr which was the first game of its kind to use that 2d animated style. kind of hard to master the harder levels though. after this thread last night i actually found my old console! i thought it had been thrown out, no idea if it works, and pretty sure all games were sold.

i waited and waited for shenmue to get released, it did and it didnt let me down. noone else i knew really 'got' it though and i suppose it could be a slow game in places but fuck the story, the visuals, the music. everything was fantastic and it wasnt the easiest of games as some tend to be in this kind of category. i cant remember how much it was but loads got pumped into the game and im not sure if sega made a loss or what.

i also only knew about 2 other people who had a dreamcast at one point which was a shame as it was a capabale machine.
oh crazy taxi too!

I'm still a sucker for Halo 4 - I still keep playing a round or two every now and then. Mass effect /borderlands ?

Yeah, Borderlands 2 is well good. Really enjoyed it. Not played it for months and months, but that's because I keep getting new games. I've got about six games that I need to finish and several others that I need to start.

Agreed, borderlands 2 is wicked, been meaning to play it again. nearly finished far cry 3

should we start a swap shop? On Borderlands did you notice the perfect 'farming' spot? When you go to the junk yard area you can gather about 6 weapon crates in a couple of mins - save, reload, repeat. Do this for as long as you wish and theres a shop on the same level where you can simply sell it all / stock up on ammo etc?

Far Cry is the shit so far. Well better than I expected. I've spent so much time creeping around with a bow & arrow hunting animals lol.

I love using the bow & arrow along with a big dirty knife to silently take out enemy camps. It's quality smoking a guy then bolting up to get your arrow back. Easily amused :)

Nice, i couldnt be assed with the bow, silenced rifle n some other stuff

did anyone ever play the Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator?

it was like MS Flight Sim but with World War 2 airplanes and there were like missions you could go on and it had online and a lot of mods for it.

F/A-18 Interceptor on the Amiga

Elite on the Amiga

Both games which gave a sense of roaming free and exploring stuff, even if said stuff was two colours and extremely limited. F/A-18 Interceptor had the most atmospheric sound I'd heard in a game up until that point, just the rush of air and the thrum of your engines most of the time. I'd like to go there when I die.

cs:go is good, mainly because you can throw molotov cocktails at chickens (or your teammates at spawn)
