What new (or old) game do you love?

Oh god yes got to have the 100x speed, go mad otherwise.

Command and Conquer btw, particularly the Red Alert series. Tanya <3 and the fucking Shogun Executioner

The game inspired me to go snowboarding. Though never actually got round to it, thans to my unaccomadating lifestye of recent years... finally im hoping to go to the alps.

It was deveoped by uep systems, i followed them up and got their next game on the dreamcast. They lost the "cool boarders" title to sony, so named it "Snow surfers". This game didn't capture the magic of CB2 at all.... playable, but loads of flaws and shortlived. After that uep seemed to die.

FF7 is my favourite game of all time BTW. FF7 is more than a great gaming experience. Playing through FF7 is one of my greatest experiences of LIFE.

Aye, I really wish I could play FF7 again for the first time, was a brilliant experience. Though I've been reading the Let's Play of it on Something Awful and a lot of stuff I never figured out fell into place, cos I was maybe 10 when I first played it and didn't pay close attention on subsequent playthroughs. So yeah that's cool :D FF9 is another brilliant one, if only the fucking battles weren't so slow. Then it kinda went to shit after 10.

I think it must have been a bit shit, all the serious, or semi-serious gamers on here seem to rate San Andreas, even Vice City, but not heard much in praise of GTA4.

Did any of you buy it (and actually play it)? Was it shit, or in some way not as good as the others.

How do we know GTA5 won't be similar?

Were you all as excited by the imminent release of GTA4 as you are about GTA5?
Was the only new game I've ever bought, when I got my 360. I've only bought two games, but I have about 35. Love piracy. Anyway, GTA 4 is excellent, there was loads of hype about it and everyone loved it (I've not yet read what everyone after your post has said). It was definitely up there, with the rest. Fantastic game. Expecting 5 to be mind-blowing.

i waited and waited for shenmue to get released, it did and it didnt let me down. noone else i knew really 'got' it though and i suppose it could be a slow game in places but fuck the story, the visuals, the music. everything was fantastic and it wasnt the easiest of games as some tend to be in this kind of category. i cant remember how much it was but loads got pumped into the game and im not sure if sega made a loss or what.

i also only knew about 2 other people who had a dreamcast at one point which was a shame as it was a capabale machine.
oh crazy taxi too!

september eta! :X episodes is a nice spin off too. ballad of gay tony and cant think of the other but its hells angel related . meth plays a small part in the storyline :D

OMG< how could I forget Crazy Taxi.....????

Whats the name for those games that never end, they just get harder and harder and you get a higher and higher score, like crazy taxi, space invaders etc until they get so fast you can't possibly get any further, but then you suddenly do one day, your brain and your fingers and your eyes are all working themselves, you actually become part of the fucking game....

Crazy Taxi was Mental! =D

they were justy mini games i think you mean. yeah you could complete them i think there were 9 cos they were in a grid shape

unless you mean the arcade level which yeah just got stupidly hard. i ised to always go for the green pickups . i remember seeing like branded stores like virgin records (ithink) and clothes shops like fila .

I fucking loved Virtua Tennis on the Dreamcast too!

I loved my Dreamcast in fact. I liked my Xbox, but on the xBox I only loved San Andreas. the Dreamcast was such an ace machine, with loads of ace Sega games.

i never got to try that but sega were definitely at the top of their game with in house development then its just a shame they wasted their sponsorship on arsenal and a french team. toy commander was pretty nifty but could get irritating. it was shit on the football front though, i dont think it got a fifa release

No I meant Crazy Taxi itself, it's not a game you complete, there's no story mode, there's no end, you just rack up,higher and higher scores, and the game gets faster and faster.....

I'd forgotten about the Crazy Taxi mini-games though, some of them were nice distractions, I remember the skittles one too <3, and there was some fucking giant skittle training game in Virtua tennis too....

I've never liked football games, but I don't like playing football, or watching football, or (post 1978) football stickers.

Would a completed Pannini Football 78 sticker album be worth anything these days? (I haven't still got one so don;t try robbing it off me, I'm just interested)

and luckily you are the master of all football, from.....etc..

=D

Virtua Tennis is the best tennis game that has ever existed. Can't remember what machine it was that allowed you to play online against real folk but it was ace.

King was a cunt.

I never played online, but I remember just "getting" Virtua Tennis so quickly, it seemed sooooo intuitive, spent hours and hours playing mates on that.

:D i think mugz knows fully complete prices better than me.

yeah that was arcade mode if there was a timer because the dc version had a whoe other map which was original mode and i (think) the itime didnt count down or there was something different about it anyway

The hells angel spin off with the Ballad of Gay Tony is The Lost and Damned.
Enjoyed both of the spin offs.

yeah, tnat was it, your clock was always ticking down, and you had to get fares to get your clock back up before you went to zero, as well as collecting cash from the punters.

OMG that was such a good game, those massive drifts you could do.

Ever play Chu-Chu Rocket? That shit was ace on stims. Ace and soul destroying.

Ah Shenmue..

Shenmue, Powerstone and Sonic Adventures were the only good games the dreamcast had :/

Oh yeah and that House of Dead 2 with the light gun.
