What new (or old) game do you love?

Unpacking Bioshock Infinite for the PC. Probably the last thing I'll install before the big one (GTA 5). I couldn't get Crysis 3 working which was a shame because I enjoyed the first one and thought the second one was alright. If Bioshock runs ok I think I should just about be able to get away with GTA 5. I can't believ how good it looks though. Can't wait. Is that sad? Who cares.

Lemmings - the DHTML version took over my life last week, in the most nostalgic way possible

They're so brave those little fuckers!

The N64 provided the greatest gaming moments for me.
Seeing Mario in 3D for the first time.
Zooming in with the sniper rifle on the first level of Goldeneye and getting the first headshot.
Entering Hyrule field for the first time in Zelda OOT.

Magic.

Played OOT on N64 emulator but seemed to get totally stuck quite early on and eventually gave up on it. Am surely missing summat very obvious. Can't recall what the problem was exactly though. Was seemingly intractable though. Loved it as far as I got though. Must get around to reintalling the emu and giving it another bash sometime. Now there are experienced folk to assist a slacker :D

Facebook is fucking stalking me! Checked Facebook immediately after posting on here about Zelda & there's a shout about some Zelda page selling Zelda necklaces. Fuck off Facebook! Why don't you offer me drugs when I complain about being out of weed? You cunt.

Tracking cookies can track what you search for and even what you type. Searching google for "xyz" will result in "xyz" adverts showing on facebook, myspace etc..

There is a plug-in for most of the browsers that blocks all cookies and if they create one it auto destroys them. But still keeping the auto-login/save password feature.

Ya. Am guessing sites are a bit wise to ABP and the like by now. This one seems to do the bizniz though. Plus it pops up in the corner at regular intervals to let you know what it's just nuked - makes me =D everytime =D

I don't have a facebook. I don't have a life. I don't care.

Just played the start of Bioshock Infinite and it's a very pretty game indeed. Wow. Even on my machine. The story plays out well and all the little extra bits like stage shows going on are excellent. However the combat is lacking. Far Cry 3 was spot on for this. The graphics really are beautiful though.

Looked up a review of that Bioshock thingy after you mentioned it, Ben. Looked gorgeous. Just how flash does a pooter have to be to run recent(ish) games at decent spec? Never really bothered much with recent games but know me lappy could run fairly recent stuff at decent speed/quality and am now wondering if me now pooter could too with it's memory boost. Never really played many PC games. Last one I played was Assassin's Creed on me lappy (which ran fine at medium spec).

You'd be surprised. The fellas making these games are really optimising them well for performance. I couldn't believe my machine run Far Cry 3, I had to turn all the pretties down to minimum to get it to move right but it still looked amazing.

I never touched a single Bioshock setting just went straight in so I don't know if it has automatically turned stuff down based on my machine or not but it really does look fantastic. Moves smooth aswell. I'm really impressed and I'm not packing a Nasa super computer either. Not by any means.

I did fear GTA 5 might not even run on my machine but now I feal there is hope if it was coded correctly.

What are the specs of your PC Ben? I'm totally out of touch with what's required to run current games.

My laptop has a 2.4GHz i5, 8gb ram & a 256 MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M running OSX. I have no idea what sort of games this is capable of playing, I've only really tried older ones which I knew would obviously work fine. I know it does what I want it to do perfectly, if I want to play games I'll play Xbox.

I have been playing Alice Madness Returns of late. It is a pretty 3D platformer essentially based on Alice in Wonderland with a nice amount of psychiatric hallucinations, child molestation and large caterpillars smoking from hookahs. Not one to play when you are fragile of mind.
