What are you munching on? v. gimmie toblerone n' beetroot

It's half 9 in the morning, it's a choice between thai food or Maccy Dees breakfast. I think the Maccy Dees is gonna win.

Is there no options for cereal, yoghurt and fruit salad, maybe some freshly squeezed citrus juice?

Yeah the Thais are well renowned for their love of Frosties and Coco Pops. ;)

Maddy Dees won. Fresh fruit would have been the healthier choice though for sure. I'm on a healthy eating and detox when I get home, well after a week or so when I've ate all the food like chippies, salt & vinegar crisps, pies etc that you can't get out here.

I just ate this:

Knockandwicked pizza base (tipo 00 with couscous)

- slathered with -

knockando pizza sauce (stupid wee organic tomatoes, run-of-the-mill tomato purée, fresh greek basil, garlic, olive oil, freshly ground sea salt, pepper. Blended to within an inch of its life.)

- topped with -

Mozzarella
sweet red peppers
portabella mushrooms
crushed walnuts
Gorgonzola
salami
pepperoni

- on a bed of -
poppy pod tea (3 gig pods on an empty stomach) and a side of MXE/MPA rectal infusion.

- method -
Cooked at 250 degrees C for 10 mins. fucking delicious and washed down with a bottle of chilled chablis!

I had korean food earlier, grilled pork in korean chilli sauce (it was like a spicy tomato and chilli sauce with onions and peppers in) and rice plus a load of small bowls of accompaniments, kinchi or something the bird I was eating with told me. No idea what that means or what most of it was, but quite a bit of it was cold and pickled.

It was spectacular!

I've not worked out what the couscous is doing yet. It doesn't seem much crunchier than without! It's pretty fucking crunchy regardless, you see. The base is very thin. Should I use more couscous? I didn't measure this time, I just threw a handful in, but it seemed quite a lot.

Inspired by both Knock's pizza and moderate levels of drunkeness I just embarked on the Bit Pissed Leftovers & Dregs Munch Mission. Which actually turned out better than expected...

Had two tortillas (the soft kind) leftover with only one (very small) patch of mould on. Pick out the wee blue bit, quick taste test of a different bit, and - by the miracle of preservative chemicals - they tasted okay. Also had a bit of Double Gloucester in the fridge that was just starting to go hard round the edges and three slices of Spanish ham in similar state. With the addition of a drizzle of olive oil, a sprinkling of fresh basil leaves and a few splashes of Hot Diggity Dawg chili sauce and a few minutes under the grill a surprisingly tasty pizza-esque concoction was borne <3

PS: Two tortillas involved so was more of a pizza-esque toasty sandwich really. But would've broken the narrative flow if mentioned sooner.

tortillla, pizza, it's all flat bread. You removed the mould on your cheese, I rejoiced in the mould on mine. People hang their ham to achieve the hardness yours had straight from the fridge. The only thing missing, Shambles, is a PICTURE of your food! Do you need a camera? I have one here I never use, I'll happily post it down!

No mould on the cheese, Knock. Just a bit hard round the rim but not so hard it needed cutting off. Tiny bit of mould on one of the tortillas but barely worth picking off really. Was actually relatively posh ham - that Spanish equivalent of that relatively posh Italian one. Aged for gawd knows how many months and goes hard round the edges after a few days in the fridge 8)

Have an ancient camera but no way to connect it to a 'puter made at any point over the last decade really. And loadsa proper film-based cameras from me photography daze I've not used for ages now :\

Sub of the day again, sliced chicken only this time with all the salad and a bit of honey mustard. Indian for dinner in a couple of hours.

Crumpets, home made kebabs, home made burgers, salad, ben & jerry's ice cream

You truly are a snail-munchin' machine, Mr Monkey 8o

One of those things I just couldn't bring meself to munch are snails. I know they're really no different from shellfish which I do eat... but somehow they are different to shellfish so I don't eat.

And good luck with the snail farming :D

Dins for me tonight consisted of roast chicken breast with tomato and chorizo sauce, baked potato with garlic butter and spinach/watercress/chard salad with chilli dressing. Was yum. And bordering on healthy 8(
