Don't get me wrong England are in good shape but the convicts will improve with those two in the side and Swann is losing his mojo fast, we need to not get carried away we only got a draw, a good draw but we were in the shit for the 1st 3 days.

Harris = journeyman. Guess we'll have to wait and see who is proved more correct.

Swann came back well after the first 4 overs in the 1st innings. I wouldn't say 8 overs for 33 in the second equates to losing your mojo fast.

Massive psychological advantage in England's favour. And believe me, I'm as big a cynic as is possible when it comes to England and test cricket.

Hmm thing with Swann on these pitches to me at least is he doesn't get the same zip off the wicket as he does in England and one or two other places the ball sits up more off the wicket least that's how it looked to me, can't see him been a huge threat until maybe Sydney although apparently it is more of a seamers wicket these days, can still see him getting a five-fer there though. :D

He'll be gone from the next test surely, but maybe his half decent off spinners was keeping him in the side to some degree ? Anyway I think that Pakistani lad will get a game next Test, forget his name now mind. :p

I seem 2 remeber Mr North playing county cricket can't remeber who 4 ?

This was in the oz glory time Warne, McGraph ,Martyn , Langer, Gilchrist etc
I bet u Oz guys out there never thougfht that he would be an integral! part of your TEST team back then:D
Top allrounder aswell lol! Undropable or will they? if so who comes in D Hussey springs 2 mind but hey i'm English maybe some of u OZ guy's can tell me please

North played for a few counties, Glouster, Durham and Lancashire IIRC..

Swanny will be fine. Gabba is not for finger spinners.

Hope you're right, unless swanny does well we will struggle to win the series imo, then again we only need to draw it, so we're 1up effectively, pleased about Finn though that lad is quality, how good is he gonna be in 3-4 years ?

Agreed, if the top 5 don't do it how much difference would one more batter make, these aussie wkts are as flat as i can recall, crying out for a five man attack, we should go for the juggular, hit em hard..and as Tony Greig once said make em grovel ! ;)

Anyway loving the Ashes it really is the best series.

best barmy army chant I heard was 'get your stars off our flag' and of course 'God save your queen' one thing we do have over them is fantsatic supporters, they were in fine fettle over this test match..=D

Edit: Full Effect, I'm from NZ not Australia. I'm probably the only Kiwi who's backing the Aussies, though I really just want to see another good series (I lost way too much sleep in 2005 staying up to watch the games from the wrong side of the world :D)

How wrong I was. :p

I'd always be rooting for your lads in any game really, hope u can win some of the odi's v India, there are some tasty odds on it, might have to have a punt on you guys in this series, if Taylor et al can get there game going u can beat those over-rated injuns !
