I have waited a hell of a long time for the Aussies to get a spanking like this. Some would say it is at least 4 or 5 years longer than expected given how many great players they lost. The haggered, "I haven't got a clue" face on Ponting is priceless. The inscription on the trophy for the Worst Australian Captain Ever can begin.

And it's only day 3! :)

I hope the rain doesn't save the aussies..........

Strauss should declare ASAP.

^Pessimist - Hussey & Haddin gone cheaply it looks good - also Michael Vaughan says it won't rain till after after tea & I'd take his word over yours regarding the weather where he's at SHM.
Oh & Harris gone as well first ball =D

Anderson on a hat trick now - I feel like I missed my vocation.

Swann gets another Aussie England take 3 wickets in a row and in comes Anderson on his hat trick ball which predictably comes to naught.

G/nite %)

Former England and Australia cricket captains Sir Ian Botham and Ian Chappell had to be separated after the pair had a dispute in the car park after the fourth day of the Ashes Test at Adelaide Oval

The pair's Sky and Channel 9 colleagues intervened to separate the pair after Chappell muttered a provocative comment as the pair walked past each other, UK tabloid Daily Mail reported.

Chappell and Botham have not spoken to each other since 1980 despite crossing paths at many cricket grounds around the world.

Botham was waiting for his Sky transport to collect him outside Adelaide Oval when he reportedly turned around and said "What did you say?" after Chappell had made a comment.

Chappell made another incendiary remark, and the pair dropped their luggage and were at each other's throats,

When I played rugby we had a saying if you can't win the game, win the fight. Somehow I think Beefy would wipe the car park with Chapelli though. ;)

Can't see the Aussies bouncing back from here. They need to take 20 wickets and I can't see any of their bowlers taking 5.

Come on England! Fucking amazing. Destroyed Ponting's team like they used to destroy us.

Love it! :)

The loss of broad is a big blow to england. Whether or not its big enough of a loss for aussies to make a come back remains to be seen. Depends how well the replacement plays.

The thing is Australia have no replacements truly fighting for a spot. Phillip Hughes will likely replace Katich (who is a big loss) and he was shown up last year by the poms with the short stuff. Looks like Johnson will get another shot in Perth but he needs to make the ball move if he plans to trouble the batsmen. They have no spinner of any quality, unless Hauritz has been necking the same pills Warnie's mum deals over the past few weeks.

Saw a suggestion on Cricinfo that we should enter an ANZAC team :D. Reckon the Aussies would take Vettori, Martin, and probably Ryder and/or Taylor (I'd take Taylor even though the big man scores more runs...). Maybe McCullum too.

On a more realistic note, what do you think of Steve Smith? Saw him bowl in a 20/20 and thought he was real class (but obviously only a 20/20...).
