We Love Cricket Thread

I believe Shane Watson could hold the key to this series for Australia. Not only is he making a ton of runs opening the batting the last year he is a more than handy bowling option (just took a wicket in his first over). His only weakness is he is made of tissue paper and can only bowl 20 odd overs an innings.

Plenty of cloud around but I don't think it should rain. (*Busty's kiss of death*)

I think you could be right about Watson.

Poor score from England really, although the whole day really changed by Siddle's hat-trick. And Siddle? Really? He's just not that good a bowler....although he was today.

Plenty to play for though!
 
An Aussie wicket just before stumps and I would have called the first day even. 260 is not enough but it is at least respectable. Pietersen almost played himself back into form.

To be fair, you posted it in Aus DD, where Aus Social was more appropriate. I'd love to have actual discussion of The Ashes in Sports and Gaming, but none of youse cahnts come in there, and none of us cahnts do either. So I have to get my premier league fix here instead of S&G and now I've had to pollute my browsing with MORE Euro centric forum browsing. THAT's just not cricket ;)

But hey, by the by, FUCKING AWESOME WORK Siddle :) Get a hattrick up ya!!

Terrible cricket from England Murali was breakin records at the time. + point of the whole tour was Broads 1st cap beefy presented him with it .

shit score really , 150 light.

I think his could be an innings defeat and over by day 4, which is a shame.
 
I think you have too much faith in the Aussie batting line up. If the openers don't score runs I don't see ponting or clarke helping. In fact I'd be surprised if Clarke makes it through the test. If any thing I say Australia would be disappointed that England got over 220 after they were in serious trouble.

Slight chance of a shower today, but hopefully just during the lunch break.
 
This series is gonna mess with my sleep pattern something mad , I may never recover.
Unless England win.

The best thread i've ever created. In fact it's the only one that's any good. ;)

Buzzin about today's play. 7 pints of Kronie after work, home now and counting down the minutes. Need some hostile bowling from Finn and Broady, be interesting to see if Daisy gets much swing. I'm hoping that Swanny's over this morning has lulled the convicts into a false sense of security. I can still see him bowling out the Aussies in their second innings for about 150.

Not really impressed by Aussie bowlers yesterday.....we defo lost the day yesterday but going forward i think we have little to fear. Just need to turn some half decent scores into 100's.

Nice little shower rolled through an hour ago (I'm 5 min from the gabba) and now the humidity is starting to hit. Should be a good morning to cause some pain with a shiny near new kookaburra.

God bless Friday RDO's with no responsibilities a couple of ripe mango's and a pipe.

First hour of bowling was best i have ever seen without a wicket being taken. Plus the tail was mopped up very well. Just those pesky kids in the middle screwed up the plan! :)

I still reckon it's going to be a good series. The convicts just aint that good. Although neither are England. :\

Decided not to watch any of it tonight, and am hoping to wake up to nothing worse than England 300-2. =D

I reckon it will go to the fith day Oz definatley in the driving seat atm.

Didnt he go for about 4 an over though? Hardly worth the Aussies intimidating him!

Just backed end of this test in tomorrow's afternoon session at 12, and also in last session at 5.1.

Could easily see us collapse, and if we dont the money will be well spent. :)
