US Fed Emergency Ban On Cathinones

For all those saying good riddance, remember, these are three relatively fun compounds that pretty much never kill people in overdose. The DEA is indirectly killing a whole lot of people with this move. Also, I don't think I'll ever again have sex as good as I did on mephedrone. Goddamn you DEA!

the government is taking the 12 months to study the drugs to determine if they have any medical use, I'm pretty sure anyhow. The unregulated market isn't really a great thing, bath salts were fucked and anything could have been in them, not very safe. I feel bad for those who enjoyed the pure compounds, but now you can stock up at an insanely cheap price, remember you still have 30 days to 'dispose' of these chemicals lol.

In my opinion, MDMA has a lot medical value and I hear methylone also has some. However, you hardly ever hear of "kid takes pure mdma and freaks out!" Even when it was in its heyday in terms of being legal, as far as my knowledge goes, I think that bath salt stimulants have a far worse reputation. A mod recently told me about a british official saying that taking mdma is less dangerous than riding a horse.

A main point-why take MPDV when there are much better substitutes available? I mean, what's the point in that besides the legal aspect? You hear a lot of stories about people acting very, very strangely under their influence. I just think that if the illegal counterparts were readily available/pure, there would be a lot less demand for the synthetics.

We don't really get many (as far as I know) threads on here talking about someone who freaked out on pure MDMA and acted all crazy and hurt someone or themselves or had ER visits and of course tachyardia/paranoia. The same can't really be said about the bath salts.

Of course, MDMA isn't a walk in the park when abused either, I will admit that.

@LadyCodone, out of curiosity, why was that guy tazed?

it got banned over here ages ago, surprised the US didnt ban it long before now.

envy you guys over there still able to get the real decent pre ban stuff, most of the stuff around here is complete shit. enjoy it while it lasts

I don't see how anyone can be surprised by the fact that MDMA is less dangerous than riding a horse. It's a very muscular 1000 lb animal, and people get on top of it and move at high velocities.

I cannot speak for mephedrone or mdpv but I never found methylone to be nearly as harsh - for lack of a better term - as any of the commonly abused stimulants/stimulant-psychedelics. It was always a pleasant mood lift, not too intense, not too long, and coming down was never more than mild (some fatigue, slightly depressed mood, etc.).

It's sad and frustrating but not surprising that it has been emergency scheduled. Typical DEA bullshit.

Still waiting, hoping and praying for an end to this futile war on drugs.

Anyone think they will be searching vendors'/buyers' homes after ban takes effect?

Should we be flushing remaining amounts down the toilet?

this will solve the worlds terrorist problem, cause everyone knows they kill more than
cathinones

Sept 7th ban of mephadrone, methylone, etc...

I apologize if this has already been brought up but I was unable to locate it. Do you think the gov't will attempt to crack down on people who bought these research chems before the thirty day period or will it be a matter strictly of possesion. It seems unreasonable that they would be have any grounds to arrest someone for having bought mephadrone a month earlier, but who knows.

Already a thread on this. Usually when you post a thread in ditm the is some type of media article linked.
