I'm gonna re-open this long dead thread.
Today I read that the official bill has been signed into law, or will be imminently by Obama.
Reading through the official bill, it name 31 compounds. Its heavy on banning cannabinoids, and also some 2C's. For bath salts it names only mephedrone and MDPV. Methylone is glaringly absent!
I'm by no means a lawyer, but would it be unreasonable to assume methylone production could resume once the tempory ban expires in October?
Obviosly some states specify it as illegal, but not all do.
Thoughts? The full bill can be read by doing a Google search for "S.3187". It's a lengthy bill, but the last 4 pages or so are what list specific banned agents.
Then there's some talkat the very end about amending certain portions of another bill, and changing 1 year to 2 years. I suspect this is referring to the previous emergency ban, and extending it's expiration date by another year. But I'm not positive. I need to get to bed, and don't have time to research any more.
Does anyone think methylone has a chance to make a comeback? Whether this year or next year, or ever?
Sorry, butylone and 6-apb just aren't that great.
