Opioids Ultimate Poppy Pod/Seed Tea Mega Merged Thread III

your hands are gonna be all cut up, so i'd advise gloves

this is from a poppy addict that had to go without blender OR stove. i was microwaving the damn water and bringing it to my room

Wow, I thought I was the only one...

%) :| (A complex emotion...)

Hey, quick question:

How much lower is the quality of tea (i.e. high) when one crushes the pods by hand/other low tech means versus using a blender?

Honestly towards the end of my 8 month PPT Addiction I just started breaking them up by hand cause the coffee grinder took to long.

I never really noticed a difference in potency then from grinding them vs just breaking them up in your hand.

And yes your hands get cut to shit with little paper-cut like slices that annoy you days later =)

^I agree that I didn't notice a difference between tea from pods finely ground vs. well-crushed by hand... I certainly noticed a difference between varying degrees of heat in the water, though, with a certain amount of heat being needed to get decently dark, bitter brews. I'm sure if you soaked in water for a long time, the heat wouldn't matter, but for the quick-brew methods, heat seems essential IME.

There are many varying species of poppies, and most look fairly similar. Papaver somniferum and papaver setigerum are the two species that contain morphine, with setigerum having a much lower concentration than somniferum, which is the opium poppy.

Cheers, what about drying? Do they need to be dried?

How much better is pods than kratom? I've been drinking a lot of kratom lately I'm not sure if I would even feel pods? Also is the tea taste really that terrible?

It's a lot stronger, a lot more addictive, and if you can handle the taste of Kratom you shouldn't have a problem with PPT. Kratom is def worse tasting.

Still need to know - can I crush them up, freshly picked?

OK, nevermind. Tried it anyway.

Took the pods, got some gloves and crushed it up as much as possible. Put it in my mini fridge on the heat setting for a while. After around 10-15 minutes I took them out, crushed them up some more with my hands and put them back in.

Then used an old weed grinder I have to grind it up as much as possible and stuck it under a hair dryer for a while until I couldn't wait any longer. Poured the mixture into a bowl of boiling hot water and stirred for 10 minutes. Once it seemed sufficiently 'brewed' I used a sieve to pour the water equally into 3 glasses of water (pushing the mixture through with a wooden spoon to ensure I got as much as possible) then threw the remains back into the original bowl, which still had some water in it.

We sipped through our cups till we felt relaxed (we had all taken about 8 blue prior to this anyway). The high was nice, not as good as I was expecting but we only used 9 pods between 3 of us. Once half way through our glasses we topped up with the remaining mixture, watched a family guy then went straight to sleep.

It was nice, probably wouldn't try it again though unless I had more pods. Don't really want to order 0.5kg online for addiction reasons %)

Another drug crossed off my list!

So I've been reading through this thread, and I recently ordered myself up some pods. Not sure of the quality since they haven't arrived yet. I was wondering however, if there was an easy/semi-easy way to extract all the desirable alkaloids from the pods and then dry them into a powder. Just to make it easier to add a few hundred milligrams of pod extract into the morning coffee or something like that.

Could I take the pods, grind finely, soak in cold water/alcohol, then evaporate the water/alcohol into a pyrex dish? Would that work or not?

It's not that I'm not into the pod tea, I'd just rather make some kind of tincture or have a purer product handy. If anyone knows of a good extraction technique let me know!

reducing nausea with pods?

I tried the search engine, but I couldn't find anything regarding nausea.

My girlfriend is opiate-naive; rarely takes anything ever. She gets really debilitating girl-cramps monthly. I have given her a small amount of ground pods to help with the pain a few times.

Each time she says it definitely helps with the pain, but it also gives her nausea so bad that she says she'd rather just deal with the cramps than feel like throwing up.

Does anyone know how to help with this?

As a regular opiate user, I know that nausea goes away with usage, but neither one of us want her to start using more, just to make the nausea go away.

My girl gets sick every time she drinks pod tea but can handle other opiates pretty well. Don't know too many female opiate users and don't know if this has to do with gender, hormones while menstruating or what. Becoming addicted to opiates to stop cramps is a bad idea as you said. If the cramps are that bad she should talk to her gyno as it could be the sign of another underlying issue. Pods, yumm.

1) have some food in your stomach, this makes nausea much less likely with opiates
2) lay down. don't walk around and do stuff. this also ""
3) if those don't cut it, pepto bismol or some other anti nausea OTC drug should be fine

about eating grounds.. just make sure they're very finely ground and there are no pieces/splinters

i have to put the grounds on a piece of paper and it takes about 10 minutes to separate large pieces that'd tear through my digestive tract from the fine powder. keep tapping the bottom of the paper and you can sift the crap around and get piles of pure powder separated

that might make it a lot easier on the stomach if your grinder isn't doing 100% efficiency

Thanks. I'll make sure she's fed, and have some pepto on hand next time. And keep her laying down.

I eat grounds (4 Tbsp / 12g) daily. My blender is really good / strong, and the powder is super-fine. They "suspend" in water, just like chocolate milk powder for example, and I just drink it down. My blender will even get stems to an edible fine grind, although sometimes I pass the powder through a fine-mesh strainer to get out the larger pieces of the "knob" that won't grind up any more.

I wonder if giving her tea, as opposed to grounds, might make any difference...

I would try the tea, I never felt nauseated from pod tea (save a couple of times that I got ill probably from bad pods) but pure grounds would make my stomach feel a tad unsettled.

Seeking answers from experienced PPT users!

Hey all, I apologize in advance if the answer to my question is right around here somewhere but I've been searching the threads and couldn't find an appropriate answer. My chinchilla's girlfriend's stepmom wanted to know which pods to buy online, considering the fact that there are many vendors selling many different kinds of pods. I've read that somniferums are illegal and yet certain vendors seem to be carrying them. Other sites don't even name the strain. From what I've read, the best pods are (in order of potency): somniferum, giganthemum (giants), tasmanian purple, burma white, turkish white (aka persian), turkish red, giant whites. From what I understand I want a strain that will keep the thebaine low and the good stuff high. So here goes: if I can't order the somniferums, what kind should I choose from the aforementioned varieties so that my chinchilla's girlfriend's stepmom can make the most "stunning" floral arrangement? Thank you in advance !
