Opioids Ultimate Poppy Pod/Seed Tea Mega Merged Thread III

^Seeds and pods are different stories. You want the hot water to penetrate into the pod, but with the seeds, you're essentially shaking to rinse them off.

Oh ok, that makes sense. I just bought a small coffee/spice grinder, so I'm assuming I just grind the pods ups as much as possible, boil some water, cool it slightly (so it's not boiling) mix with ground pods, let it simmer for 15 minutes, filter, and drink?

^Don't simmer it... just steep it in the steaming water and you've got it down. A few things about the filtering... First, I would use a wet t-shirt filter (wet so it doesn't soak up the tea) so that you can squeeze the crap out of the grounds in the filter. Second, I would use those grounds for a second wash that will give a lighter-colored tea, but one that still has a good bit of alkaloids in it.

Good luck!

Steeping and simmering is just a difference in temperature, right? I'm not a cook or anything, but from what I know, simmering is like, boiling then reducing heat a little, so it's still VERY hot, bu tnot quite boiling. Steeping is like, reducing the heat significantly, right?

^A simmer is a low boil... Steeping is just letting something sit in water. I'm not a chef either, sorry if the terminology was confusing though! ;)

Awesome. Thanks a lot for the tips, man. Much appreciated. I'll definitely be able to get the most out of my pods now.

Although my method wasn't the best before I got this info., the effects were still good. I basically mashed up the pods as much as I could by hand, put them into a 2 liter container, along with the seeds from inside the pods, added cold water, shook up and strained by twisting the cap a little bit. I got a decent buzz along with a decent nod, lasted a few hours. Hopefully the results will be better when I used the grinding and steeping method.

Will I have a rise in tolerance by using for 4 or 5 days in a row? I had 25 pods total, I've used 9 so far and it's been 2 days. Yesterday I rinsed the same pods that I used on day 1, and still had great results...This is promising, since now I now each batch is good for at least 2-3 doses.

^Yeah, you'll have somewhat of a raise in tolerance, and also the poppies will never fully get out of your system. The alkaloids last for a long time; IME this will cause you to not feel great on day 6 or 7 (around 24-36 hours after the last dose on a stretch like this)...

Roughly how long does it take before you reach maximum withdrawal from
A. Tea
B. Swallowing grindings

I've been on a 3 month binge of grindings and after 36 - 48 hours without I get withdrawal, eg sweats, pain, shits...all of which are dealable, but then comes the vomitting which is not dealable at all.

I have a plan to reduce down over 14 - 21 days depending on the schedule I come up with when the time comes, because even 4 weeks into taking every 36 hours or so, when I got to 50+ hours I was dry heaving uncontrollably in the street.

I have access to codiene, benzo's, alcohol, and am used to anxiety and cold sweats, as well as the shits and muscle pain. And insomnia. But the total body dry heaves I can't handle at all. Its much worse stood up, but can happen sat down. Its the only reason I've been on it this long.

I have a thread over in TDS about my 18 day taper. I jumped off a few days ago and am doing very well.
For tea you will start peaking at 72 hours. If you use on a monday night you'll be peaking by thursday night. Withdrawals will start usally around 24 hours and slowly escalate getting pretty bad by hour 48. It will continue to rise and reach its worse usually by hour 72 (peak). You can peak for 1-2 days, and will start coming down slowly usually by day 5. From day 5-8 you'll start declining and by day 7 or 8 things should become tolerable. Then minor wds can follow for even another 2-3 days after that.

With grounds the phase is essentially the same, except the wds come on a bit slower and can be delayed up to 24 hours. So on day 3 you may not be peaking completely. You'll most likely feel it worse on day 4 from eating grounds. Then everything else after that can be pushed back around a day or 2 feeling somewhat better by day 7-9. People tend to say grounds have a delayed wd which is usually true, but not always. It really depends on a lot of other factors but you can expect a ground wd to last a couple days longer on average.

The dry heaving was never a wd symptom of mine, even when I went cold turkey years ago. But with pods a moderate habit can be tapered in 2-4 weeks. 2 weeks will leave you with a bit more wds, a lot more tolerable then CT, but 4 weeks will make it MUCH easier to handle the jump off. I did about 18 days and was fine but I did a steep taper and leveled a bit towards the end/smaller doses.

G/luck and go visit my thread if you need more help.

What do you mean they will never leave my system? I wasn't planning on feeling any withdrawals after this binge, as it's only going to be 5 or 6 days. I've had a break already too, using on Saturday and Sunday, then taking off Monday.

So what is the hands down best method, or best ROA for pod tea? It's been discussed on these forums for years now, and I've sifted through the mega threads reading about the different methods of preperation, i.e. hot water, steeping, etc., grinding into powder and eating in yogurt, eating pods whole, etc. etc. etc. Is there a ROA that has proven most effective? I want to make the most out of my remaining pods.

I actually found that crushing the pods by hand, putting into a 2 liter bottle, adding cool water and shaking for 5-10 minutes then untwisting the cap, was a better method than heating water, adding ground up poppy pod powder, steeping for 15-20 minutes, filtering, etc. The 2nd method had that mucky thick taste, as a lot of the "sediment" went through the filter. I actually think I got better effects from the first method too...

PST (nice stuff)

I have tried poppy seed tea a few times, with mixed but good results. I usually mix up about 600gms with a couple of cups of water and the juice of a lemon. Then shake a few times over 15 minutes and strain. Squeezing any liquid out of remaining seeds. Then pour over a shot of vodka in cold glass and drink. I know this stuff works because it makes your legs sort of go numb. Then you'll just sit back and enjoy any shitty infomercial for hours afterwards. It just makes you feel happy to just be and stare. I usually just drink beer and smoke grass but this is a nice distraction once in a while. %)

Quick question

I've been midly interested in poppy tea for a while, was going to buy some pods online when I have some cash but today I was walking along and noticed some pods in a garden - are random poppy pods in a garden likely to get me high?

Also, once picked - how I dry them out? Just leave them for a couple days?

EDIT: Oh and, some of them still have red flowerery bit round the pods, do they need to grow for longer?

Sorry if this is off topic, but it relates to pods, so here goes:

I noticed that there's been a delay with the spring crop, causing many outlets to run completely out of stock! Any ideas on the nature of the delay? Has anything like this happened before? (I've never experienced it). A little worried here! Ugh.

Thanks in advance!

There are many varying species of poppies, and most look fairly similar. Papaver somniferum and papaver setigerum are the two species that contain morphine, with setigerum having a much lower concentration than somniferum, which is the opium poppy.

Hey, quick question:

How much lower is the quality of tea (i.e. high) when one crushes the pods by hand/other low tech means versus using a blender?

^ you go through the powder faster, but it still works great. if your box lasted you three weeks, without a blender it might last like two, maybe one depending on technique and how good you are at pulverizing them. make sure to get all the good parts -- the inner flaps

your hands are gonna be all cut up, so i'd advise gloves

this is from a poppy addict that had to go without blender OR stove. i was microwaving the damn water and bringing it to my room, as we had no kitchen at that time lol
