Opioids Ultimate Poppy Pod/Seed Tea Mega Merged Thread III

Like hell they are.

I used those for a period of time, and all it did was make me spiral out of control.

Plus, second only to Methadone, poppy pod/seed withdrawal will make you go insane. You see, poppy pods/seeds contain about 20 different alkaloids, which means you would withdrawal from ALL of them AT ONCE if you ever wanted to get off. It's a bitch.

Hell on earth.

For God's sake, don't do it man. Suboxone is the way to go. Even better, use Kratom. Seriously.

Kratom heals. I have used kratom to stay off opiates longer than any other medicine.

Whoa whoa remember IME. In your experience. I hear you though man. Point is though that the sub clinic is only a phone call away since im in the uk. Im a student too so its free. If the shit hits the fan ive got a safety net basically. Im not sure about the 20 alkaloid argument. If that were true then you wouldnt be able to switch from opium to another opiate comfortably. The problem lies with mu receptor affinity and half life.
Cheers for the warning though. If I didnt have access to the sub clinic at a moments notice I would probably not have gone onto pods. Ive heard the horror stories. On the other hand ive heard loads of shining reports of people getting their lives back on track. Thats why I set up this thread - to try and get an idea of people's experience with opium.

Budding Pharm is speaking truth. Pod tea wd is no joke. I was a daily user for 6 yrs+, tried kicking on my own with kratom- didn't work. Now on suboxone and it's a god-send. Pod wd drove me literally crazy...seriously I was not only feeling the typical physical pains, I was paranoid/delusional/psychotic for two weeks. Luckily my family helped me out, first I got on klonopin, knocked out the craziness, tapered off kratom, finally put on subs. Now I'm stable and happy, no cravings. It's an amazing feeling :-)

Yeah poppy pods are dead.

The DEA killed the imports of them almost completely, and forced almost all farmers to burn their crops and/or not plant anymore.

Move over to Kratom. SO much more healthy.

Only in the US. UK scene is unaffected as far as I can see. Ive had no problems at all. We havent had any reported overdoses over here which has kept the practise beyond the eye of the government. To be honest I would almost prefer that it go undiscussed. HR is a mixed bag since it introduces many many people to the world of pods who otherwise wouldnt have a clue, on the other hand it saves lives. Its impossible to tell whether the tradeoff is worthwhile since there are no reliable stats.

Kratom is way to expensive for me anyways. If I stop pods i'll switch to bupe and taper quickly. Its a good time to be in the UK at the moment with the oppurtunity for free treatment - I should probably take advantage while I still can. I can see myself regretting not doing so in the future...

I found some white poppy seeds from an ethnic shop. I didn't buy them, but I was just wondering, that how are these seeds white? The seeds I've usually seen have been dark bluish. The package read the seeds are from Czech. You think those are any good?
Pavpaver Somniferum has two subspecies Album(white seed) and Nigrum(dark seed). Album is usually an opium poppy, and Nigrum is usually a seed poppy, but there are albums grown for seeds and nigrums grown for opiates, as well as hybrids of both. Czech poppies are for seeds and don't produce much opium and have weak pods, but the little opium which is produced is very strong(20+%morphine). It might be good to breed with an Indian strain which produces a lot of opium but is relatively weaker(10-15% morphine).

I don't make seed tea so I don't know what's good, except for hypothetically growing. Organic McCormicks seem to have a high germination rate, hypothetically speaking. Others don't seem to sprout anymore. Perhaps they're treating the seeds to protect their genetics.I wouldn't know though, I don't grow illegal shit.

IMO, opium and to a lesser extent pods are the lesser of two evils compared to concentrated opiates like heroin/oxycodone. It would be preferrable to use opium than heroin. It's a damn shame prohibition has driven opium smoking almost to extinction, and replaced it with purer stronger opiates like heroin, morphine in pure form, and oxycodone. It seems the secondary alkaloids make for a less sedating, more functional high. It's also harder to OD on smoked opium than other stronger opiates. Still, pods contain morphine, thus are still risky in terms of ODs/addiction.

I am a heroin addict with a quarter gram a day tolerance. I made tea with 6 pods and got a wonderful high from it that was better than heroin in some ways and lasted longer.

A week later, i made tea again with 8 pods from the same batch except instead of boiling the water, I just left the ground pods in the fridge in water for a couple of days. The water turned brown like the heated tea looked. However, when I drank it I barely felt anything.

Is this natural variaton of the pods or do you need to use heat?

Oh yes, pods are a great and long lasting high, but the W/D's are a MOTHER FUCKER!! Really, that is no joke!!! I've gone through multiple hydrocodone, oxycontin, and tramadol W/D's and none are as bad as pod W/D's.

Be careful, or be prepared for about 2 weeks of hell!!

Pods are a mixed bag. Protracted wd's, quality unreliable and getting the stuff down is rarely pleasant. On the other hand theyve saved many a life. The simple solution for everyone complaining about the severity of the wd's is to switch to another opiate which you perceive to have easier wd's, stay on it for a few weeks (for the period during which poppy tea would have endured) THEN wd. You'll experience wd from the newly introduced opiate. Course your dose of pill form opiate will probably be fairly high so it could be a matter of going hungry for a while...

For real. As a daily user for six years, I experienced pod wd many times. It is without a doubt the worst, most agonizing, hellish, disgusting, terrifying thing I've ever gone through. I wouldn't even wish it on my cheating ex-girlfriend, haha. I'm so glad I'm out of pod tea hell. The high I got was better than heroin, methadone, oxy, you name it. But the wd is so physically and emotionally debilating, it's really not worth it. I wish I woulda switched to kratom early on..then I might not be where I'm at. Though, I'm completely content on suboxone. It's a wonder drug IMO. But I fear I might be on it for a few years to come (PAWS is a motherfucker).

Dude seriously read the post above. Just switch to a short acting opiate (you should have a lowish tolerance as ive found bupe lowers tolerance since its a partial agonist) when ure ready to quit. You'll cut withdrawal time. Its not the "done thing" because I suppose its a relapse technicallyl, but its far better than spending weeks in acute withdrawal followed by PAWS. Do the 3 day cluck with a short acting opiate then deal with the aftermath. Peace

I'm using the tea for nearly a year.
Recently I'm doing it almost daily. When I'm sober, the third day welcomes me with pretty loose bowels and not-the-best mood. Lastly I haven't been sober for any longer than thease 2 days.
At what day after giving up on the tea should I feel full WD symptoms?

I'm wondering if I've crossed the line between recreational use and abusing this.

One thing I have found once dependant, to stop the shit hittting the fan is not to get high everyday, but to use a 'maintenance' dose 3 or four days in the week. This means your tolerance stabilises, you enjoy it when you intend to get high, and can go about other things in life i.e. employment.

I find if I try and get high for more than two days on the trot that things get shitty.

Normally on a Monday I have a maintenance dose, get high Tuesday evening (working in the day) maintenance dose on Wednesday, high Thursday evening, Maintenance on a Friday but getting high on Pregabalin and some Benzos. Saturday and Sunday get high both days. On the Monday, a low Benzo dose helps transition back into the working week schedule.

Am also prescribed Citalopram that helps with my functioning, attenuates low mood between doses.

Also luckily for me a maintenance dose holds me well for 24 hours, whilst a get high dose holds me for 24 to 36 hours.

You've crossed the line for sure. Pod tea stays in your system for awhile- I got full WD on the third day- and the kicker is they last forever (I never got through WDs, I hear it's weeks). I moved to kratom then to suboxone- I recomend you try this..might not even need subs.

Poppy Pod Tea Advice (Lope Blocking Effect?)

I realize there is a lot of information on PPT here but I can't find it for some reason...

I'd like some advice as to what I should do for my first PPT experience keeping in mind:

-I have taken buprenorphine daily for the last 4 years (last dose was 10mcg/hr for 2 months)
-I have been off buprenorphine for over 10 days
-I've been taking approx. 10mg loperamide daily since I quit bupe (to manage WD)
-I have 10 large pods and no PPT experience whatsoever

Any help as to what kind of dose I should take or how to prepare would be appreciated, and a link to another thread would be good. I want to feel something from this...I also want to be safe and informed.

Also, will loperamide block the morphine/codiene in the pods? No one has confirmed if lope actually does this or not.

Lope is definitely a blocker for sure. Ive used it numerous times and depending on how much you use and for how long it can block other opiates for days. I noticed that i would still nod off but I couldnt get a rush at all. I would shoot 30 mg of opana and barely feel a rush. Usually it would have me faded.
