The travel thread

^ All true, but these are Singapores rules

How do I use the E-Ticket I purchased?
At check-in, just show your valid passport and the credit card you used to purchase your Electronic Tickets to receive your boarding pass(es). However, do note that if the credit card is not produced for verification, SIA reserves the right to deny the ticket holder(s) from boarding.

What should I do if I lose the credit/debit card used to purchase my ticket and this is needed for check-in?
Please go to your nearest Singapore Airlines Ticketing office to purchase a new ticket and refund the old ticket.

What should I do if my bank has issued me a new credit/debit card to replace the one used to purchase my ticket?
Please go to your nearest Singapore Airlines Ticketing office to purchase a new ticket and refund the old ticket.

What should I do if I terminate the credit/debit card that I used to purchase my ticket?
Before you terminate, please bring your credit/debit card to the nearest Singapore Airlines Ticketing office to have it verified. You will then no longer be required to present your credit/debit card during check-in.

What should I do if my credit/debit card expires before I commence my travel?
Before your credit card expires, please bring your credit card to the nearest Singapore Airlines Ticketing office to have it verified. You will then no longer be required to present your credit card during check-in.

Yikes! Still' i've got plenty of time to pack. Why am i going to Stornoway? I need to be in Devon by 3pm on Friday though for a wedding.

I've been asked to get prices (and possibly book) train tickets from Paris to Munich then Munich to Passau in Germany.

Most train travel websites i've looked at are giving me what looks like rather expensive prices.

So many websites come up in google all saying tickets can be booked through them. In my experience I've always just gone to the station of the country I was traveling in but my father is currently in Troyes for a while yet.

Anyone used any eurpoean train booking websites before and which ones are the best to go with? Might he be best paying for a 2 countries travel pass? Probably will be eh.

Is it bigger and more banging than Guernsey? Cheaper drugs?

I used Deutsche Bahn on-line when i went to the World Cup in Germany a few years ago, and everything went pretty well. I think it was fairly cheap too.

Cool, I'll have a look at that. I think the ideas been scrapped now unless I can find a cheap route for him! It's going to cost over 400 euro!

heh, i doubt that very much. i've never been to the hebrides before. they are still pretty religious over there, i don't think the pubs or shops open on Sundays. and if you're an unmarried couple looking to stay in a hotel or B&B, you better pretend you're married or you'll be in separate rooms. 8o

so there are some travel tips. :D

I wish i was going this year. We debated a cheeky weekend session, but the plan never got off the ground.

Might be cheaper to get one of those 90 day (I think) European rail passes that allow for unlimited travel on the train for £90 or something
