Television The Simpsons

Good lord. Nothing like more bad to mediocre episodes of one of my favorite shows.

I was so irritated when I heard this today. Fox cancels great shows like Firefly and Simpsons has to keep going? 8( :(

Great news! The simpsons as of late have been a little hit or miss, but they definitly put SOME quality material out there the last couple years. Just nothing like the golden years. :) And a futurama movie ? I think I just died and went to HEAVEN. Futurama is hands down my favorite animated show out there, even trumping out Family Guy...

King of the Hill is another favorite of mine, such great characters and situations! I loved the episode where hank was fishing with crack rocks and then got busted trying to buy more of what he thought was 'bait' (wake up hank, bait does not come in small white rocks from a shady guy in the ghetto! Oh well, you can't fault him for being naieve) LOL...

The above post was clearly made by a malfunctioning robot and should be disregarded.

Unfortunately, as long as the The Simpsons stay profitable they'll probably stay on the air. What ever happened to quality over quantity?

max power himself couldnt have said it better:)

since the show waved goodbye to going out gracefully 1/2 a decade ago; the only option left is to go out in a blaze of mediocrity like the proverbial aging prize fighter the show has become.

flame on i say;)

Yeah, anyone who knows anything knows that crack is the best bait there is. One time i almost caught The Loch Ness Monster with nothing but some crack rock..... on the subway even!

now get away from my stuff!

How often do you guys actually -watch- the new simpsons ? Every week ? Or did you just see a couple bad episodes and write it off ? They are hit or miss, i'll give you that, but it's not ALL bad and I definitly still get some good laughs.

Hank catching fish with crack rocks is obviously not reality, it's COMEDY just like eating a hot pepper won't make you have a mescaline trip like in the old Simpsons. It's FUNNY.

More excited about "King of the Hill" than "The Simpsons" renewal. Being a lifelong Texan, so many of the show's characters and situations ring true for me, and I love how it treads the line between outright fantasy and borderline reality. It's just a great freaking show. :)

This show should have ended years ago. Fox does this to anything good. Remember The X-Files? That 70's Show?

Just wait, Family Guy will run for 25 years, and suck balls for 20 of them.

I still like the Simpsons.

So there :p

+1
I hope they never cancel the Simpsons!! With all the fans they have, they could just get random people to submit story boards for episodes and it would work out fine:) Just need to work out how to keep the voice actors from ageing / dying;)

hidden runic message in simpsons?

i have 'its a mad mad mad marge' tivo'ed and i was watching it when i noticed that at the end, after marge finds becky shooting barts music video, you can see some runes on the 'altar' after they tranq marge and she falls down. these look like some kind of runes, and after doing a search on wikipedia, i found a kind of translation, although some of the symbols arent in the alphabet i looked at. but the rest are absolutely runes, clear as day. as far as i can make out, it reads :

"chris boelmen a ton? iesus"

the ? is a character i couldnt find, looks like half of a weezer logo. i'll try to get the symbols on something and scan it, but i just wondered if anyone had noticed this or translated before?

i really doubt they mean anything. The Simpsons like to use general ideas such as these to put a little meaning and depth in the scenes, but not so far as meaning anything specific by them.

i think
