heehee! I have a wicked sence of humor, I've always said laughter is the best medicine. Sure as hell keeps me from crying. I'm not kiddin', that crap was foul.

Yes, it's nice to poop once in awhile. Us CPP's definitely can make a roll of toilet paper last for longer than the average person.

Oh, WyldO...Thanks for reminding me that I have a GIGANTIC bag of Cheetos IN THE VERY NEXT ROOM...Yummmmm. Think I will have some >:)
I'm done being sick, I'm pretty sure because I'm starting to get my appetite back. Cheetos will hit the spot!!

Speaking of poop....usually every otherweek,I have to down a bottle of mag. sulfate to keep things rolling...so to speak. Otherwise, I get all sick & barfy.
 
The joy of medication side effects i always feel bloated and i don't eat very often, wouldnt enjoy eating 3 meals a day with my digestive system andi take meds that supposedly combat it...

What do you take that is supposed to help? Is it something specifically for people who take lots of narcotics?
 
Hate to say it,hun, but I really don't think the stomach meds are gonna help. We all know what pain meds do to the cilla in your body, they just quit working, so digestion is pretty well shot. That's so freakin sad...
 
I take prochlorperazine to stop me vomiting (crps issue) omeprazole for the excess acid and sodium docusate and lactulose to help me go to the toilet. Still hurts like hell when i do go though.

I think I'm actually starting to feel a little less awful. I've had about 4 days worth of bowel movements in the last 5-6 hours, I feel like I may have actually lost a pound or 2 from being sick too. That just about sums up the positive parts of my day so far!
I really am sorry that so many are not doing well today... and I'm happy for the ones who are :)

hah, yeah i felt i needed to try change the vibe of the thread.

re: bowel movements - until a few weeks ago i was constipated more often than not but a few tweaks to my diet (more fibre and fresh fruit as a vital start) along with increasing my water intake and i'm "norma"l again - as in proper consistency, no pebbles, etc. it feels as if i'm reborn some mornings after i do my business then get down to mixing my shot up.

over are the days of taking 2-3 craps per week, i'm able to squeeze out 2 a day pending my food intake.
 
Morphine was the worst, they threatened me with an enema (sp) when it reached 4 weeks then i had to use gallons of lactulose my god i hope i never have to do that again it was just awful it hurt so bad
 
i'm on morphine and codeine so you can imagine the troubles i begin to run into if i'm not mindful:| but yes, morphine is probably the one opioid i've been on which has caused the worst constipation.
 
Gaaahhhh! Ememas! My Mother used to abuse me with those things as a child, and prune juice. What the hell is it about bowel health that people from the 50s are so overly concerned with?
 
Morphine has definitely been the worst for me so far. The fact that Im led down or sitting all of the time (can't weight bare use a wheel chair) makes things worse, movement helps digestion so that is why they have me on all the meds to help. Anyway lets digress from poo lol
 
It has been raining all day here got 2 heavy duvets on thermal socks and my legs are still like ice. If it rains anymore Im going to need an ark

I used to have an electric mattress pad, but have not been able to use it since I started wearing the patch:(
BTW, I realize that the question was not directed towards me...just putting my. 02 in!
