I'm nervous that we face Citadel, FSU, then ALA back-to-back-to-back. Too many chances for injuries, showing your plays, stupid idjits getting suspended, etc. Whereas ALA gets a week's rest (and hiding) then has to show up enough to push AUB around, then go back into hiding, resting, watching tape of UF for another week before facing us. All the while getting fed the hype that UF is better (that 'disrespect' factor is a great motivator I know Saban will use). Part of me thinks ALA might be over rated at #1, sitting there by default of not losing (but not facing as tough of competition as most would think), but I can't get past the fact that they.are.there, something that can't just be dismissed. And that UF lost a game, that can't just be ignored either - we can, and have been, stupid at times (just not since then :D ).

#2 of the Big10+1 would most likely be OSU (after they beat MichSt), which automatically defaults to the Crapital One Bowl against the SEC#2 team. But fully expecting UF and ALA (regardless of winner) to both go into the BCS bowls (NC + Sugar), that leaves Orlando open to pick whomever they want to match up against the Buckeyes. It won't be a conference champion, obviously (unless they can pull the an undefeated BCS buster in), and they aren't obligated to stick with an SEC team either (though they may, for selling tickets)....speaking of tickets, I wonder how gung-ho the OSU fans will be for another bowl game after getting their asses kicked by the SEC the past 2 yrs

I know their fans are die hard (and would love to travel to FL for the winter for a bit), but they've got to be hoping like Axl that they don't see another SEC team on the slate. If they don't go SEC, and I don't expect them to grab a Big12 team (but ya never know) then I'd say chances are high that OSU will face an inferior opponent (ACC or BigEasy runner up? Anyone else?). Then the Buckeye fans can come down en masse and build their confidence back up with another non-SEC bowl win

Gawd, I'm still dizzy everytime I look at OU-TX-TT, and am nervous for whomever faces them in the NC+Fiesta+Cotton Bowls

TT is rated highest, and I still can't get my imagination around how they'd fare against a solid defensive team. Eat them alive with the passing game, or get sacked back to a dismal showing? I'd say they can do very fast pitch and catch, and would have the upperhand on nearly anyone. I suppose the difference then is if the opposing team (whomever it is) can run, and own the clock and the possessions

Do I think TT is going to the NC? Part of me is rooting for that perennial dark horse, but part of me doesn't think they can pull off one more big one when they play OU. I suppose we'll find out this Saturday

Speaking of darkhorses pulling it off, I can't express how happy and giddy I am to be pulling for Oregon State in the PAC10. I'm tired of USC stubbing their toe and remaining the darling. I will be so happy if this time, it actually effected them and someone else got to go to the big bowl. Besides, who's not loving Jacquizzi? Go Beavers (though I've always been a fan of the Quack Attack...simply for the mascot).
