This is my first post here. I was prescribed Lyrica for pain and thought it a useless medication thus leaving it in a drawer for months. When I saw a commercial for the drug and heard that it could be abused, I googled getting high on Lyrica and found this forum! Did a little research.. & tonight.. started with 600mg and didn't feel much after an hour so I took 200mg more, a 10mg hydrocodone, and 25ml of Cheratussin syrup. I feel pretty darn good now. miamixox, a happy pill indeed! Sucks that I have such high tolerance though. The best way to describe how I feel is right when you first start tripping and your eyes play tricks on you, but you stay in that state. *shrug*

as in that was my first post here....and about the lyrica..it helps w/ opiate w/d too imo. :)


ps- i wont be able to let you know for another month lol sucks i know, but im outta state & away from the BF, so maybe YOU should get back to us on that ;)

When I woke up, I had a massive headache but Bayer migraine quickly took care of that. For another 6 or so hours, I was shaky and go go going. Felt like I was on coke or speed but there was no nasty comedown. I had absolutely no pain as well all day. Hmm.. Despite the headache, I'm definitely using up this script.

I found masturbating somewhat harder on pregabalin as in I would last longer akin to opiates but with a somewhat stronger orgasm sometimes or even no orgasm. Very strange. Enjoyable either way.
 
I've been on lyrica for almost 3 months and it has been a miracle drug for me however late last week it simply stopped working. I don't abuse my medication in fact I usually take less than what's prescribed (50mg x3). I've even tried taking an extra pill to see if it helps, it didn't. Three months usage at such a low dose seems like a very short time for a medication to stop working...hell even my old antidepressant lasted longer than that lol.

I also take benzos 2-3 days a week and when I do take them they are potentiated with prebabalin. I see people who have been on this medication for years and mine craps out after 3 months?
 
I still don't know why this happens to some of us.
Somehow I got the feeling that I got part of the magic back.
People are describing several ways to do that, using gabapentin, benzos or nmda antagonists (and combinations of those).
I tried benzos and ketamine, also dxm, but it didn't really work out.
However, I tried oxycodone for the first time this weekend (and none of the others), so if it really worked, it's maybe related to that.

supposed to take 3x150mg a day of this stuff for anxiety however it does built a tolerance pretty quickly and is useless. there is some recreational value, i've taken 900mg today and it really feels nice with some alcohol, if you take too much it kind of puts you in a stupor and makes you somewhat dumb. overall nice drug but has tolerance problems.

It also seems to raise your benzo tolerance. Does anybody know of anything else other than antidepressants that will work with nerve pain? I'm hoping that I'm just having a flare up and lyrica will start working again.

Anyway im now in the Prebabalin / LYRICA club,i'm also an opiate user and i find the pregabs stave off withdrawal for some reason? anyhow if your new to lyrica and you want to use it for recreational use it is a great synergistic so it goes well with benzos and opiates, My 1st dose of the drug was 300ml and this had me bouncing off walls and i was cross eyed! a very plesant drunkish/heroinish feel.beware the peek times as pregabalin is a creeper so your talking 2 hours to come up so don't go swallowing loads cos after 20 mins nothing is happening!! at this very moment i'm on 400ml and though i'm sat up in bed it does feel like my eyes are being pulled over the top of my head and i am finding it hard to type & when im not typing i'm squeezing my laptop really hard.strange drug? I hear the withdrawl is a bitch so i'm not going to keep taking them cos if it is anything like a benzo rattle!? well that is just scary! I can report tolerance builds very fast with this drug, I plan on doing maybe 6-800ml for the buzz cos i hear the visuals are quite good & this is a likable drug but for me it will be a short lived thing as i cant source them and i dont fancy another drug to cope with withdrawal symptoms!A real shame i cant get them prescribed or any GABA for that matter as i find they are great for depression :-) I HATE SSRI/SNRI type drugs they belong down the throats of BIG PHAMA folk-see how they like them! they can stick there prozac!!! sorry was i Ranting......(i'm mad you see) PREGABALIN RULE'S for the time being.
 
Im finding Pregabalin to be a right bag of tricks. I had really bad shoulder pain a couple of weeks ago, 1 pregabalin completely blocked all pain better than any other painkiller ive tried. I knew whatever was wrong, seized muscle or something, was still there, and it got me through the worst of the pain. I didnt want to take it for more than a few days as i read there are w/ds.

Recreationally 1 pill definately puts me in a better mood. More than 3 oir 4 and i find the experience becomes almost trippy and scary. Unwelcome thoughts keep popping up and all that as well as some helpful thoughts that feel like brand new insights.
 
Pretty awesome drug, been doing it for a while now, altho the withdrawals i got after 3 in a row days of usage were fucking terrible, felt like i wanted to die (didnt want to pass untill i took a small dose just for it to go off, i also didnt want to take a small dose for withdrawals since i od'ed a couple of days earlier, had hypertension and some bad reaction after i dosed a 20 mg codeine pill, uncertain what happend..)
 
I noticed lyrica made my temazepam a lot stronger at first because I could get the same effect at 15mg than I did at 30mg by itself but it faded pretty fast.
 
Does Lyrica mix well with Mirtazapine ? I have about 20 15mg pills left and was thinking of doing done thing with them instead of chucking them.
 
erm well i have a friend who mix's the two but i don't know the amounts but i would not take loads of mirtazapine as i feel that could be a bad time. Now me,I can't believe how quick tolerance builds up with Lyrica! only been 5 days of up and down dosses ranging from 400ml to 1000ml and i took 800ml today and i cant feel them at all. strange drug indeed. I do hope i don't have a nightmare withdrawal. and the time it takes for you to come up on the drug is sporadic too,one time it was 2 hours and another it was 8 hours! i cant get my head round this drug.very unpredictable imo.
 
I'm on 500mg daily for anxiety and back pain. I think it's gradually not working. Fucks you up when drinking alchool mind.
 
god i'm so sick of reading all about how your all prescribed Lyrica!!!!!!!!! my Dr would never ever give me it or benzos they stick to government guidelines SPINELESS GIMPS!!
i would love to punch my Dr through the neck pull out his spine show it to him and say"oh so you do have a backbone after all!" they hide behind red tape where i live.
pisses me off as Lyrica makes me feel normal and not depressed. But funny thing is my Dr would shower me with any ssri or snri you choose to name THE PRICK.
 
Very expensive drug (like new car payment). I'm on the patient assistance program otherwise I couldn't afford it. I had to get an MRI to get it prescribed to me.
