Hahahaha! I have only started today. I was prescribed 75mg twice a day.
 
Haven't gone through the thread. OK 1st time high at 300 - no higher- then that's it. end of story
 
Did i see on the news or something recently they might be putting lyrica on the pbs ?
 
it's so expensive as it is, people with major nerve pain who can't work and are on disability shouldn't have to fork out the prices they do for it.
 
does anyone know where i can find the LD-50 for lyrica i've checked wiki and other sites but cant seem to find it anywhere.i need to prove you can overdose on them to a dumbass friend :p
 
After two weeks in the local MHU (meth psychosis) I was forced to WD cold turkey from a 4g a day lyrica habit. Withdrawals are very benzo like with terrible muscle cramps and joint pain to boot. 3 weeks later, I am still feeling WD symptoms, although they are relatively minor now.i had two seizures, one on day 5 and day 8. Large quantities of Diaz were prescribed after the 2nd seizure and withdrawals were more manageable.

It's better for my GAD than any benzo I've tried and was a lot of fun combined with weed. After such hellish WDs, ill never touch it again. My habit cost me nearly $400 a week too.

fuck mate i hope your ok :\ i recently went though WD's from valium and clonazapam took about 6 weeks for me to start feeling better.i hope it dosnt take that long for you.the doctors should be prescribing u small doses of valium as you start to WD so you dont have any fits.why the fuck would they make you go cold turkey sounds pretty fucked up to me

Probably. One problem with that may be that people who are Lyrica are often on other medication(s), as they have serious health issues. And are sometimes in the 60+ year age.

This is in America I think, but it doesn't really answer your question still about deaths on Lyrica alone.

Mu Daughter was taking LYRICA , Dr. increased dosage from 75 mg 2 times daly to 300 mg 4 times daily , 7 days later she was dead. She was only 40 years old. anyone having simalar cases please contact me

hmmmm damn still an intersting read thanks dude,that last bit is a bit scary and 3000+reported hospitalizations.

has anyone noticed after using lyrica for a while (for a high) the effects change?like the last boox i got my friend would take it (and he uses more than me) and got the effect i ussaly get and was after but insted i got a speedy type high i'ld stay up all night rambling shit on the computer.i had some last night and got the effect i was after was out for like 4-5 hours n took more at 2-3am and got this speedy effect n wasnt able to sleep all night even with benzos.

oh yeah and lyrica is now on PBS!!! you have to get an authority script tho and its for people with major pain and epilepsy

I am very sorry for your loss! I could not even imagine losing one my own. My heart and prayers go out to you! That doctor increased her dosage way to high!! That was a huge leap and I hope he knows better now!

I take a lower dose of 50mg Lyrica two to three a day. The first night I took it I almost had to call 911 because I was hallucinating, hyperventilating and felt like I was having a heart attack! I made it through and the next dose I had no side affects. If you dont mind me asking what was her exact cause of death because this may have almost happend to me. It apparently has happend to many others and maybe if people know it could help save lives. Again my love goes out to you!!

I have only been on Lyrica for about a week and I have heard that withdrawal can be terrible. does anyone know how long it takes to get addicted?
 
^ I didn't know her, it was off that link under that post, JS was asking if anyone had died from Lyrica and I tried to do a little research.

I don't know how long it takes to become addicted either, sorry mate, I can't help, if you have concerns with it, it might be best to talk to your doctor about it.
