Moving in your 3rd trimester oughtta be fun! Glad you'll get to be back among the people you know, though. Makes it all so much more festive!

I've been away from home for 18 days now, and I'm ready to go back! Ketchikan is predominately a tourist town anymore, and they get 4 to 6 of those hee-uge cruise ships every day in the summer, so all the streets and buses are crowded all day. I live in a tiny community of less than 200 people, and they have that many people milling around within a city block....craziness!! Living in a hotel is making me nutty, too. This boy needs to come out and see his mamma, so we can go HOME!!

40 weeks, 1 day -- after 14 hours of relatively regular contractions that increased in intensity, everything just slowed down to a crawl. My contractions are milder, and farther apart. Bummer in a way, but in another way, I'd much rather have a slow labor that's easy, than labor that comes on quickly and excruciatingly. I'm using acupressure , and it does seem to be encouraging things along. More later...

How exciting! You're in my thoughts, vox; I hope all goes smoothly for you and your little man <3

40 weeks, 3 days. -- Even if I hadn't had an ultrasound, I'd know this was a man-child; only a male would be so contrary and illogical..... Start, stop, start, stop. Grrrr!

Agreed. I was born in mid-April (sadly, usually too late to be off on Easter weekend), which means my parents conceived ~mid July. I'd love it if I shared a birthday with a BL baby. <3 I was 6 days early (due date was 4/20 ;)) so it seems like some of you need to get busy within the next month. ;)

Congratulations, four! All of you are absolutely radiant, such gorgeous smiles. :D Enjoy your beautiful new family! I love the name Jake. What a cutie :)

voxmystic - hope all is well your way! Thinking of you and I LOLed hard on your comments that your babe is of the XY variety. :D Hope you check in soon with photos!

Samadhi - I took an ovulation test (well, a few) when my periods started becoming irregular. I was abstinent at the time, so no possibility of pregnancy. I found them at the dollar store. They've helped me chart my cycle. Glad you found a good deal; I've seen them at the pharmacy for a LOT more than a dollar! There's also ovulation microscopes that use a small sample of saliva to predict ovulation.

DFRS - cluck alarm is going off here too. :\ I can't for awhile longer (not the right time yet) but when I hung out with my little buddy Oliver earlier this week (he's nearly 6 months old already, perfect and adorable, just starting to roll over when you tickle his feet) I definitely felt the pull. I will post a pic on FB with his mommy's permission.

How do you gentlemen feel about having a kid? I've talked with some of my dude friends and they seem to be ALL about making babies - more so than most of my female friends!

^I need to be introduced to these male friends of yours hahahahah
I'm kidding. ;)
I want a baby but I'm not ready by any means!! haha
I'm not even close to that place yet.

DFRS- I stand where I always have.....you must have babies! They'll be perfect! And you'll be an awesome mom!

Samdhi- Same goes for you! I can't wait for the day I check in here to see you're preggo! <3

I have also heard about the ovulation microscopes (i think they are marketed as Maybe Baby there) - when you're ovulating, you can see a fern-like pattern under the microscope.

As Pop no longer posts, I can let you know how he feel about having a bub? Well, to tie it in with the discussion about ovulation kits - he was the one, after we returned from Brisbane, to the other day say, "honey, i've found those ovulation kits on ebay - do you want 30 or 40?". He's so very excited and just as clucky as me. <3 He's already talking about starting a savings fund for a baby, when i fall pregnant too. He's a good egg, my Popavich :D

41 weeks -- I am slowly losing my mind. I had NO IDEA how much it sucks to go overdue! The world is full of well meaning but insensitive people asking, "So, when are you gonna have that baby?" If you ever happen to be around a woman whose due date has come and gone with bun still in oven, please never ask her that. And if you do, don't be surprised if she stabs you in the eye with a fork.

Oh man. That's the worst. ::warm vibes to you!::

The hubby doesn't post on here anymore, but yeah it seems he is quite possibly more clucky then me! Haha i think what makes me slightly less clucky than him is the fact i have to carry it for 9 months and go through all the hoo haa! =D

He's gonna make a fantastic dad <3

Seriously, who on earth says that kind of crap to a pregnant woman :( I am also sending you "hope the baby comes SOON!" vibes and lots of love <3

Any chance you can get induced? Most Drs won't let you go too far past as the placenta begins to degrade.. I sure hope labor happens soon for you. My bf and I were able to bring it on naturally... Aka- the no-pants-dance! Have you tried? ;)
